it will be interesting to see what manager madrid get next. looks like they will have to poach a manager from another club because i cant think of any top managers that are not in a job right now.@titosantill wrote:@Unique wrote:tbh i expected the barca fans to murder the madrid fans tonight but nothing.![]()
its more fun when there's some evenness....besides, we've done a good job of bashing ourselves over the course of the season. if messi had played, we'd have really gotten it, cos the scoreline.....let's not even get into that. and i'm still mad at pool for selling them suarez.

the next manager isn't interesting to me at all, i'm not sure why the debates on it are so spirited. the job of whoever comes in imo is simply to steer the ship or control the bleeding. what will be interesting to me are players (and coaching staff, whether or not the new one continues) we go for....come summer. another year of the usual suspects, won't cut it

Just a theory but the Barca fans on GL simply got old enough to be "mature" about their banter. Even my Barca centric friends weren't really in a banter mood as they were shocked they won so easily and by so much. It's weird tbh but I feel it would come up later on in the season.

A couple of my friends who are Barca supporters tried to get me going. But I smiled (forcibly) and said... 4 out of the last 5 CLs. And i also said... I completely agree we're shit right now and don't belong on the same pitch with Barca.
Not really much to argue about after that lol.

Yeah there really isn't much. Most Madrid fans would agree with Barca fans in the fact we were absolute rubbish and currently looking at those 3 CL titles in a row with longing eyes. Since that may be the last time we'll be big winners like that in a while.

Barca Fan: "Madrid is so shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!"
Me: "You're absolutely right. I'd rather watch paint dry than Real Madrid right now. But we've still won 4 of the last 5 CLs and 3 in a row."
It's a weak comeback. But that's all I had lol.

We have bigger fish to fry than making fun of has beens tbh. This is just the beginning for Madrid. In the next 3 years they have to replace Benzema, Bale, Modric, Ramos, Marcelo and probably Kroos as well. Maybe even Perez. Man is 71. He won't be able to lead Madrid forever.
The Galactico price tag policy also won't fly anymore. There are like a dozen clubs now which can offer the same fees and importantly the same wages.
Good luck.

what are you dominating exactly? Certainly isn't CL. And 3 draws and 1 loss in 10 games isn't dominating La Liga either.
Madrid is shitty this season. But many other teams aren't lol.

This is bad for Barça too so don't get all happy about Madrid's misery.
Do I need to remind you how your love Neymar left your team for money?

We have been DOMINATING Madrid for 10 years now. Tell me more about your prizes, your 3 times CL in a row, everything you have won in the last ten years.

We will allow it tho because Europe has been our bitch for years (trashed Juve, Bayern and any other mega team) on top of that we've been banging CLs for fun. Breaking records... something you never do vs us
Hope you enjoy your "mini-victory" for winning vs us lol.... To be honest you don't care about trashings unless they are record breaking... And guess who holds the record for the biggest win? Lol

Mock it as much as you want, but then you're just conviently ignoring how much we care about your wins really when they are never going to be as record breaking as ours.
Things your club will never be:
First to win 5 CLs back to back (or the European trophy if you wanna call it so)
First to win 3 back to back CLs
Only one to win a El Clasico with 11 goals
Can probably count more stuff
When you take these things to account you are probably a permanent bitch of ours

BTW how did you make your text larger? Need it for the extra sauce

That's not 10 years. That's 11

No, he left in order to get out of Messis shadow and be the main man and proof of that is his attitude which changed completely. At Barcelona he couldn't boss anybody around, he went to PSG and started bullying everyone.

Not only should they rename the MVP award, they should also rename the league to the BarcaLeague, because we have dominated the league (and especially Madrid) for so long.

The future might not look all that promising for Madrid right now but the same is true for Barca. Once Messi retires or leaves for Argentina anything is possible.

Barcelona laid us to waste without Messi. I'm not sure they'll continue to be in the picture in the CL after him, but I have no doubt that in Spain they'll continue to dominate the league for years to come, especially if Madrid keeps up this suicidal transfer policy.
As long as they are spending heavily on reinforcements, Barcelona will be fine.
Besides, Messi isn't retiring any time soon. He doesn't rely on speed or athleticism to be lethal. There have been countless times where he took down the opponent with a single pass.
He has at least 4-5 years left in him. If he takes care of himself like Ronaldo does, he could even play until he's 40.

They did lay waste to you without Messi but that's one game. You are 9th at the moment, Madrid is clearly in turmoil but that won't be the case forever. I mean you lost 4 out of your last 5 league games and the 5th game was a draw.
The important thing is that Barcelona usually gets slightly more than 90 points a season and Messi plays a massive part in that. Without him they should realistically drop well below 90 points for a regular season which would make them far more vulnerable to challenges from other teams.
And yeah sure he has several years left in him. Not disputing that but the day will come when he retires and it will be very interesting to see how Barca will cope with that. Not having Messi around for a few games is completely different from losing him altogether. Also I think he still wants to move to Argentina before he retires though of course even that could easily be 5 years away.

Too much knee-jerk reactions in this thread. I am sure uncle Flo will have a reply to this RM crisis soon. I only see this as the eye of the storm. You can quote me on this.
RM will have another run of galacticos any time soon unless they have done some crazy shit economically and know the law is set to get them so they need money to pay the upcoming fines.
