They bounced back from a ratings perspective and have demolished NXT in the last two weeks.

If they build the show around the major stars and don't give as much time to some of the indie plebs, they'll be fine I think.

The show is very boring imo I've personally lost all interest, ignoring ratings as i genuinely don't give a shit either way.

NXT is a much better show and has done a much better job of building stars than AEW has.

I didn't want it to be this way but you can only watch so many duds before you stop caring.

I don't watch wrestling live despite the convenient time zone because there's so much stuff that I don't care about.

I generally don't watch tag team wrestling or heatless wrestling matches.

For AEW I always watch Jericho, Mox, MJF and Cody's segments. I'd add Omega to that bracket but he isn't doing anything but long tag team matches, so I haven't seen much of his stuff either. Don't really care so much for the other guys.

Neither do i, but it's gotten to the point that i barely watch highlights anymore.

When it started i looked forward to watching highlights the following day, now i don't even care.

What segments/storylines turned you off in particular?

The lack of them in general Laughing although i would say the inability to focus on new stars is a big turn off to me.

The Elite, Moxley, Jericho isn't enough, MJF is really the only one so far honestly.

It feels like everything is a bit directionless.

Agreed, it just isn't a very good show. Smackdown 2016 was far more enjoyable for me. Even workrate wise, NXT has them beat. Moxley and Jericho are amazing though, their parts are must see for me.

MJF's schtick has gotten boring, Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin are the ones that stand out for me. Also Kenny is being booked exactly the way people feared WWE would book him. They need to stop dicking around and put him, Fenix and Pentagon in the main event scene soon enough instead of them being in tag matches every single week.

Moxley just took his stale gimmick from WWE to AEW and he is supposed to be the top dog

no one is going to buy that long term.

You actually watched enough to make that conclusion lol? Without a script and forced comedy he is one of the best things in wrestling right now. He is miles better in AEW and NJPW than he was in WWE. Both wrestling wise and character wise.

So...they just got a 4 year TV deal worth $175 million and TNT greenlit a second weekly show.

If it was Roman everyone would have complained about Super Man Booking.

There's a reason literally everyone who watches the product are happy with the decision.

Drew is great, but this isn't the first time you've criticized him so I'm not surprised hmm

If the reports of Edge's contract are true he must feel really good.

Now I've seen the full quote i agree with him, problem is he doesn't always show it.

But there's an argument to say that if he did he wouldn't have lasted this long and still have that mystique, it's a difficult balance to strike.

Although i would argue a lot of complaints about Brock stem from booking than they do Brock himself.

Which isn't really his fault, as a performer he only do so much with what he's given.

Thing is Ricochet matches were having emotional impact in NXT, this is what irks me about main roster fans who say NXT is better at work rate.

What makes NXT so good is the importance applied to the matches and characters and the emotional investment behind them, something main roster has completely forgotten how to do.

With that said getting 5 moves over and being able to use them to tell a story and get people invested is way more impressive.

The moves aren't that important, they never have been. Nakamura said this on Chris Jericho podcast when he first joined WWE" Moves don't matter much, it's what you do in between and how you get there which matters" which i absolutely agree with.
