Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Prologue
Bit late saying this but I've been moving.
Anyway, if that game yesterday hasn't convinced you of Eriksen's quality and his importance to Tottenham, I don't know what will. Was screaming for Poch to bring him on and when he did, the game turned around immediately. Sure, I think some of it was Aston Villa tiring out, and sure, it was just Aston Villa. However, Eriksen was brilliant.
If Spurs can't get more than 40m for him, they ought to just keep him. The type of performances and his importance to the team might very well be the difference between CL and no CL. It might be the difference between challenging for the EPL (I'm not expecting that tbf) and not. Or the difference between a group stage or RO16 exit in CL vs quarters or semis.
Obviously I hope he stays and extends. He's a joy to watch.

He's the best midfielder in the Premier League and few will agree but he is that good and highly overlooked even whilst not being used to the best of his ability.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Prologue
Eriksen is worse than all of De Bruyne, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Wijnaldum, Kante, Pogba, Özil, and probably another 5-10 players
Juan Mata level IMO
I'd take Phil Foden over him tbh

Did you just cheekily slipped Wijnaldum in there?

Exactly. Classic case of an underrated player getting obnoxiously overrated.
