and how exactly didn't we outplay you in that second half and gift you two goals because we will forever be a clownish defensive side.

I say this because on eye evidence i see our attacking potential that makes us better than all those other teams you mention. If Emery can just get a solid midfield we will be cruising to a top 4 finish.

Pool and City with +9 and +11 GD already while everyone is hovering around the 0/+1 mark. Definitely a two horse race now. Laughing

7 points from 4 isn't terrible for Arsenal considering they played Pool and Spurs back-to-back. Sucks not to beat Spurs at home but at this early stage I'm not super concerned about it.

Watford away after the international break, though. That has "first three points for Watford" all over it tbh.

Defenders too... like all 4. Keeper isn't exactly great either.

Pepe, Auba and Laca are the only elite level players on Arsenal. Other than those, they're all prospects and frauds imo.

we need that to challenge for the title. I made my point concerning a top 4 finish

I'm actually okay with Leno though. Tierney, Bellerin and Holding will be back soon. And we will get Saliba next season. That's basically our starting defense

i still think Spurs have a good team and should give us a run for that position, but if they continue to play like they have been this season, then yea --- 3rd should be ours

if Pepe had been tearing up Bundesfodder teams for the likes of Mainz or Wolfsburg on a diet of currywurst and pflaumen kuchen like a certain other Frenchie was, I'm sure we would be seeing Hans defending him to the death tbh. Alas, he came from the slightly superior Ligue Un.

I'm just criticizing his performance, not him.
I have little doubt he can be a fantastic player for Arsenal, once he finds his mojo and controls his output and decision making better

Also there is the issue of me being 90% convinced all year he'd be a Bayern player now, which might factor in my judgement of his Arsenal performances. Maybe. Maybe not.

Auba, Laca and Guendouzi are also from Ligue 1 and they all settled in after going through some rough patches early in their EPL careers. The issue isn't what you're stating. it just takes a while for players to get used to a new league.

Pepe will be fine. Immensely talented player.

I'm definitely on the Pepe bandwagon. He's a really exciting player, just needs to gain some composure and maturity to his end product.

The spurs hate train needs to end. Out of 4 games they win the 1st, should've won against Newcastle with a competent ref or a little luck in their side, and got a point vs both city and arsenal. Anyone that seriously believes they will struggle all season long needs a reality check. CGunner most of all.

Whenever Ndombele returns from injury, it's going to be a massive boost for their arguably weakest position in his absence. Kane will undoubtedly find form at some point, as well. Son always seems to be less clinical whenever he's on the pitch, though.
