Because we are nothing like the Europeans. In fact UK should be should be seen as a continent in itself. Plus our players hate the food Europe has to offer, not to mention the horrible weather... who the f likes sunshine ? And lets not get started on the currency Very Happy

lol at RM, real Madrid play counter attack, they are the most un spanish team in la liga, they are a Mourinho team for sure, hence why they get trolled by a damn 7 year old. La liga being technical is a myth. They look technical because of the amount of time they have on the ball because it is less physical. Biggest point, even Barcelona play dutch football, tikki taka isn't spanish. So...

This.Other leagues cant afford the wages the English players are on.Westham a club in Championship offers more wages than most lower midtable clubs in Italy spain and Germany.

Actually, not true. Torino, Stoke City, Hull City when they were respectively in Serie A and EPL had the same salaries, And they are about the same level in their respective leagues.

I dont like this tactical diversity or technical ability talk about the premier league. The top players in the league are technically adept and there are some world class players.

As Mole said, the international part of the football in England have absolute mugs as coaches which is why they do not achieve success.

Take the example of Argentina. Their players play in Serie A, La Liga and even in PL. That is as tactically diverse as you can get, yet their international side is suffering due to lack of adept personnel in their coaching and administrative staff.

BPL is the richest league and their players do not need to move out to other clubs in other leagues. As simple as that!

In terms of salaries paid, it is about the same as La Liga and Serie A, as per the link I posted. So, you are full of it.

@ Wiggles

There is not a huge difference in the salaries paid. I am not trying to say the other leagues are poor. Serie A does pay good salaries as per that list you posted.

But clubs like Aston Villa, Sunderland, Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham are a little higher than similar teams in the other leagues. I am sure about La Liga anyway. So, there is a small difference. The main point is, BPL clubs are able to afford good salaries and hence players dont need to move abroad just like Italians dont tend to move away from Serie A...

Everton play beautiful football...

Villa play exciting football...

At times Bolton played some SLICK football...

Fulham are very sharp on the ball and aren't the physical side they're made out to be ...

WBA & Wigan try as hard as they can to dribble and pass the ball around...no hoofing it here.

thats some of the league table.

The only teams that actually HOOF the ball, is Tottenham and Stoke

An italian man creates a meal in France based on italian dishes, and most people in france might like it and it might even become the national food, but it is still ITALIAN, you get my drift compadre?

Simply put- Brits- especially the English are very suspicious of abroad. You only have to look at the majority of Brits abroad for an example. They go to a hotel complex somewhere which they don’t leave all week, eat egg and chips, drink Lager (*cough* Mainland European *cough*) and speak none of the language of the country they are visiting and have even less interest in learning some.
Of course I am generalising hugely here as I know many Brits who are very interested in the culture and languages of the mainland. But nowadays they are few and far between.
There’s no interest of British, especially English football players to play in Europe at all. The nineties were an exception- but those were the times back then. Supermarkets were filling with European foods and air travel started to become accessible.
The reason I distinguish between British and English is that it seems to be the English mainly that have some irrational distrust and dislike of Europe. Maybe that’s because we were the boss country of an Island nation. The Welsh and Scottish seem to like Europe more and even the idea of being a part of Europe, geographically and politically, a lot more than the English.

A certain Gareth Bale supposedly wants to play abroad...

Cryuff did not make Tiki-Taka or Total football, atleast not solely. He played the main role in the development of the "barca way" of playing.

Anyway, that is besides the point. Tiki Taka is essentially Spanish which is one touch football. Total football is the idea that no player has a fixed position and everyone keeps interchanging. Both of them existed independent of each other. When Cryuff came to Barcelona as a player, they started merging Total football and Tiki-Taka and i guess it was perfected when Cryuff took over as manager. A slight variation of that is what you see today.

I am sure how reliable the link u have provided is.It has Portsmouth at 72 a club which went into administration and is in championship now.Think its atleast 3 years old.If thats case then Stoke's wage bill have considerable increased in last 2 years since they came to PL.

All wage bills have increased, this was a moment in time where someone took the time to calculate salaries just a few years ago. I pointed out only Serie A and EPL wages.

look at it from the players viewpoint:

Why would they leave their hometown or home country to learn another language and risk flopping when English clubs pay well

Cheers for the history lesson, never said cruyff invented total football. Cruyff was the main proponent of tikki taka. Tikki taka and it's roots are dutch, the spanis did not play one touch football before cruyff, in fact the spanish national team was very physical. Tikki taka is Dutch whether you agree or not. there is a reason there were so many damn dutch players in barca under cruyff.

Joe Cole plays for Lille but his loan spell finished i think.
