Good player, he didnt have too much pace but he knew how to hit the ball and had determination and a great attitude. Not an all time great but still a very good player. People shouldn't judge him as the supposed pretty boy who was in commercials, judge him as a player

As a player he was only 4th best in UTD in their best 1999 season. Still a classy player, but never a Figo/Nedved/Giggs level

Very good player, but probably third tier. Compared to contemporary players he is a tier below a Pirlo, Sneijder, Iniesta, Owen.

Tier 3 player, which is still good. I would say Tier 3 close to Tier 2.

IMO, Giggs, Keane, and Scholes were better in the United Midfield, which was in his prime days.

He always showed some bursts of quality in Madrid, but never consistent. His greater performance was the last half of his final season there, which was undoubted quality football.

He's better than the people who make fun of his pretty boy image think, but worse than the women who like his pretty boy image pretend... No?

Good player but massively overrated mainly due to his free kicks.And i never understood his supposedly hyped up great leadership skills.

I understand the leadership argument, but he wasn't that overrated, he was always in the shadow of the likes of R9, Dinho etc (and rightfully so), I actually think he was mostly rated just right - he was world class in his prime, but not a top5 or top10 player, and most people rated him about top20ish...

When was giggs on Nedved and Figo's level.

Giggs IMO is in the same tier as those two, because, while his peak was weaker than theirs, his consistency was/is very high.

A legendary crosser, very good set piece taker (though IMO prime Ronaldinho was better), average in almost everything else.

Still, I rate him enormously higher: thanks to him favouring Madrid over Barça, we signed Ronaldinho and went back to be a great team. Thank you Becks!

Very highly. Severely underrated now because he was so overrated back then. The best crosser in the history of the game and one of the best dead ball specialists ever. Top 5 in free kicks and was also a good captain.

The guy was gifted with some of the best Crosses and Freekicks. Mentally disciplined (like most Man UTD. players) but never a Leader, IMO.

I see people lauding his crossing and freekicks.

If we're talking Short Passes he was good at them too, but not outstanding.

He's an awesome passer of the ball.. smart player, just lost a step..

Who cares that he never heads a ball, he sends balls in, doesnt need to be on the end of them.

On the RBNY forums we had some funny stats posted.. like out of Henry's 200+ goals for Arsenal, less than 10 of them were with his head, he's scored more headed goals in NY than he ever did in London.

He never needed to. Now he does. I don't like what Beckham did with LandieCakes, but he's still quality.

I'll laugh my ass off if he's in Brazil for England...
