Who Do You Rank As The Best Manager You Have Ever Seen?
Who do you rank as the best manager you have laid your eyes upon?
when putting together a variety of factors like:
1. Influence In The Game/Innovations
2. Influence In The Game On The Field
3. Personality
4. Mentality
5. Philosophy
6. Tactics
7. Character
8. Management Style
9. Surprise Factor
10. Work Ethic Put Into Team
11. Effectiveness
12. Success.
There are many great coaches in the history of football and not everyone is informed enough to know of how each man was and how they contributed to their teams, Trapattoni, Sacchi, Helenio Herrera, Clough, Michels, Cryuff, Mourinho, Hitzfeld, Ferguson...
I for one choose mourinho, because after all its based down to personal opinion, and there are many great tactical minds out there that have contributed alot to football, and to how its played, and many managers who have really shaped their club's history, and its impossible other than to name one's favorite, and mourinho is mine.
He Comes in With an A+ in almost all of the criterion i posted, his ability to make his players play with so much drive, his tactical astuteness, his self assurance, his winning mentality, and his pure sheer genius has left him with one of the most impressive coaching trophy cabinets in history, and at only 48 his effect has already been big enough to be named in the top 20 imo.
He still has lots to go but as madrid's manager i expect something special from him, something that will leave us with a new club mentality, or at least a reinvigorated one.
The Special one for me.

I seem to remember a lot of hoofball from Real Madrid against Barca.

Does it change the fact that he too resort to hoofball whenever needed? Where did i say he hasnt won them all?
If it makes Kenny overrated because he resorts to hoofball whenever needed then it certainly makes Ferguson overrated too.

No bias. Guardiola. Took a team that finished below Sevilla and instantly made them into the best in the world. Other managers still have not figured out how to beat his brand of football other than relying on mistakes and luck. Turned Messi into what he is now. You may say that with his team anyone can win, but Messi, Xavi and Iniesta were all there before and Barca got 3rd place. Guardiola is the difference. Probably the highest rate of important trophies to years managing out of any manager right now.

if he can leave barcelona and match half the succes hes had at barca i will agree but untill then, doesnt matter what they finished the year before, that team was basically readily made for him.
also his transfer record has been shockin so far as well minus this seasons signings which were basically no brainers but his previous dealings have been shockin mostly

U missed out on Pique and Busquets too.Comparing their defense now under Guardiola with their defense before him is clear enough to say how good a manager he is imo.Messi didnt single handedly transform their defense too.Anyone saying Guardiola is not a great manager is fooling themselves imo.

i didnt say he wasnt good im just saying in regardsto this thread gurdiola shouldnt be considered yet when you look at other managers careers.
see the thing is wenger has been there for 15 years he has had generations come and go as has fergie yet they still managed to keep the team up there.
right now guardiola has a golden generation whats happens when that finished, can he rebuild and deal with the losses and bring in the right players.
going of his transfer record right now id say no.
in no way am i saying hes not good just sayin hes not up there with coaches like fergie, lippi, trap, among many truly great coaches, but he has plenty of time to get there

Re: Who Do You Rank As The Best Manager You Have Ever Seen?
Easily Ferguson.
Special Five isnt fit enough to lace Ferguson's boots.
Forget that. The Special Five isnt fit enough to lace the boots of the man who laces Ferguson's boots.
All the Special Five is fit for is getting his ass handed back to him again and again and again by Pep The God Guardiola.
Coming to Ferguson two words spring to mind.Champion mentality. The man has instilled into United such a winning mentality that it doesnt matter who plays for them.He could put a bunch of World War 2 veterans on the field and they would still win titles.Thats how good he is.

Honestly, it's not even close. It really isn't!
Look at that squad. I mean really, look at that squad! Yet they're CONSISTENTLY competing/winning the EPL and CONSISTENTLY competing for the CL. Hate him to death but EASILY the best coach I've ever had the privilege to see...
