Loan deals for Aanholt and Kakuta
Probably the best piece of deadline day transfer news for me.
Aanholt is on his way to a PREMIER LEAGUE club in Wigan for a whole season, where he will almost certainly be given game time. This is what his new manager had to say about him:
Not sure where he got the defending part, but hopefully he'll improve that aspect of his game there. I was actually hoping when I woke up today that news would arrive that the Pereira deal was off and that Aanholt was send on loan to a PL club while Bertrand was kept in case of an injury to Cole...and amazingly I got what I wanted.
Kakuta has been loaned to the youth-savior Coyle until January 1. Here's hoping that he'll actually make the most out of his career.
Of course if he impresses, then I can see him getting game time especially since the AFCON would have started by then. That's a big IF of course, because right now Kakuta hasn't had a good reason to justify regular first team appearances.
Overall I'm very impressed with these PL loan deals, especially to two of our most talented youth academy players.

Roberto Martinez wrote:Patrick is a player with enormous potential. Technically he is very gifted, very comfortable in possession and physically, he uses his intensity to defend very effectively. He can play left back or left wing back position and without a doubt he's got a phenomenal career ahead of him and I hope he can settle in Wigan really quickly and start enjoying his football as a Latics player.

Owen Coyle wrote:I'm delighted that Chelsea have enabled us to take Gael on loan and I'd like to thank Andre and the club for that. He is someone whose progress we have tracked since he first broke into the Chelsea first team a couple of years ago. He is skillful, quick, exciting to watch and I'm really looking forward to working with him.

Re: Loan deals for Aanholt and Kakuta
I imagine PVA will do will, He will start IMO, I am excited to see how well he does as Cole will start to slow down next year.
Hope Gael does well, if he doesn't he won't have many more chances to prove himself.

Figeroua (probably spelt his name wrong)
he is pretty decent to be fair, although I have heard of him playing at CB before so there may be a good chance Patrick starts.
Bolton for Gael should be awesome share the minutes round with Petrov, and Owen Coyle does wonders with young kids
