Last night on the spanish canal+ they showed that Messi had only taken 37 shots in la liga but on ESPN it says 68 shots. Anyone can confirm which one is the correct one?

Edit: Nevermind I found out that the 37 shot was on target while the 68 were total...

That is an insane conversion rate.IMO when he is not obsessed with chips,he is as good a finisher as any I have seen.Once in a while he keeps chipping all the time and starts missing a few.
But otherwise he is as lethal a finisher as any the game has seen.Maybe Romario and Ronaldo were a shade better but other than them 2 I cant think of anyone else from the players I have seen consistently.

So we need his record breaking goals then, right. i think he will show big time, three very important games bilbao,a.madridand betis. I don think he will be benched vs benfica. I think he will play all the CL games no matter how useless that is.

What's the point of him playing against Benfica? Useless game, we're already 1st in the group. Tito will play as many canteranos as are included in the UEFA list.

messi takes pride in always being top scorer in UEFA I don't think Tito would take that away from him, plus a good record.

If Messi wants to play, he will play. I'm sure Tito wouldn't deny it to him. But there's every indication that he doesn't care. Messi recently said "I don't care about records, I care about winning" and Tito said that "If Messi wanted to play he would've asked me to". So I don't think he's thinking about it that much. He probably thinks that if he doesn't make it this year he'll do it the next Razz

Messi is a beast. Shame about our national team and quality of our domestic league. The guy will perhaps never win anything on international level again simply because his team mates are not good enough. If only he played for Spain...

I stop trying to make sense of what he is doing nowadays and just enjoy it.

I really need to get a channel that shows la liga for the sole purpose of taping most Barca games- for this kid.

I want to be that badass grandpa who is like "well in my day I got to watch Messi, the best player ever...in fact, here let me look around. Ahh yes, I've got a couple recordings here of him, if you wanna watch". And of course by "a couple of recordings" I mean TONS of games.

I feel like I take what he does for granted... I'm really going to miss him when he's retired.

It was "another curiosity", I just listened it again. But why doesn't it make sense? English isn't my native language, but isn't a curiosity same as, lets say, a freak?

Jiopsi the phrase is "curiosity killed the cat", curiosity describing a desire to know rather than "a curiosity" referring to a person.
