Putting on Mikel and Lukaku weren't such a good idea. But am really happy with how the team played. Torres may have missed but the most in form striker missed a penalty with no pressure

It's still early in the season and this was in OT. So, sure they are.

Vidic Ferdinand and cleverley all out plus several missed chances doesn't mean Chelsea played all that well. Top 3 at best.

I feel for Torres. He played well. He just can't get that all round great performance in though.

Chelsea played very well today, despite his miss of the season contender, Torres played the best I've seen him in blue, his pass to Ramires with the goal begging and his delightful chip were the pick of the night. But what a great game by both sides.

Never write Chelsea off, they'll alway be in and around the top and will pounce on any slip by the top 2.

3 points behind United and Shitty with the toughest fixture of the season already out of the way.

Torres & Mata playing incredibly well. Meireles and Mata proving to be incredible buys so far. Ramires & Mikel raising their game this season. Experienced heads (Cole, Drogba, Anelka, Terry) all playing well. Young stalwarts Sturridge, McEachran, Oriol, Bertrand, Lukaku impressing.

Lampard & Malouda slowly but surely returning to form, Bosingwa & Kalou still rubbish and David Luiz to eventually return.

Probably the only one on this forum but I fancy our chances this season.

Torres getting back to form is really going to help.

No doubt we are title contenders even if our squad is weaker than Utd's and City's. All we need to do is keep winning and when City and Utd slip we can take over, like with what happened to us last season. Villas-Boas is proving to be a good coach. No way would Carlo have been able to get Torres at his best.

Now all we need is Sturridge to improve on the wings and it'll be beast time.

I know one thing for sure, towards the end of the season its Chelsea who would be pressing on whoever is at number one. I doubt that we will win the league, but we are the closest bet after United so far. Unless City keeps going like this. I want Aguero to score, and not score..

You cant write them off yet. But they are not as good as City or united. That far is clear.

To be honest, I don't think they'll be the ones who take United to the very end this season. In my opinion, they'll finish 3rd, lurking behind Man United and Man City for most of the time.

Man City are lookng dangerous alright.. but I'm pretty sure that they will choke at one point. I hope they choke!!!!

I don't really see why they would choke. They're not an Arsenal style side who rely on good football to win. They could have a poor run of performances, but still pick up several points.
