He doesn't like LeBron because he's a New York guy.

Here's one of his quotes mid last season:

"They're overrated. I don't know why everybody thinks they're just gonna flip some magical switch once the playoffs starts. I think LeBron made a mistake, he should have stayed in Cleveland. He took the easy way out when he could have gone to New York or Chicago and had a better legacy. That's just using the LeBron thing as an example.

When you let your personal sentiments get in the way of your job as a journallist, you lose sight of reality and start going downhill. Not that he has ever been at the top of his trade though.

I hope he'll be alright, he should, I mean, he came back 100 % after a season ending injury a year ago...even if he loses a season I think they will re-hab him well.

As long as it isn't anything terrible like a ACL.

And also from reading a recap of Ray Allen's press conference yesterday, I heard this which was interesting:

After he met with the Heat in Miami, he was leaning towards them, but still he reached out to KG to see if Boston would improve their offer(he wanted a 3rd year). KG said "Danny would step up" but the 3rd year was never offered. Pretty obvious to him then that the C's didn't want him as much as they said.

Who cares, if you're the Heat, you take a flier on him. No such thing as a complete waste either, it's a low risk/high reward move. If he stays healthy and plays, great, you've got an upper echelon center for cheap. If not, you haven't lost anything.

But then you're risking roster space. We have promising players in the Summer League that could make use of those spaces(2 spots left, actually).

I guess it wouldn't be a bad move though.

Dmzie what do you think of Burks?

The guy just seems to oozer star quality to me, he has the best offensive footwork I saw of any rookie last year, he gets really high lift on his jumper and has nice form and he's amazing at getting to the line and decent at getting to the rim.

I don't know why Utah don't play him more, he needs to solidify that jumper because it's more inconsistent than it should be considering how fundamentally good it is..but that will come with playing time.

He should be their bench scorer, but they give Favors and Kanter more touches before he gets his.

Great passer for a 2 , great handles, the guy's game is just amazingly smooth his hesitation pull ups, and crossover pull ups are magnificent.

Tbh, I didn't get to watch him much last year except for a few games. One of them was the Lakers game I think he had 15 or more points. But I liked what I saw, I think he's got all-star potential. He can defend, really good slasher, and has good athleticism. He seemed to be able to create his own shot when he wanted. He probably needs to improve his 3 point shot, but I see no reason why he can't be the starting SG for the Jazz on opening day.

I actually thinks more highly of Skip Bayless, after having seen his and Stephen A's replacements. He is just an idiot on all LeBron subjects, but outside of them I think he has good and valid points
