I believe our defense still needs work......

and today showed clearly Buffon>>>>Storari everyday,

p.s: pls don't turn this into a sh*t talking thread, or even a forum vs forum battle........

I will appreciate all views wherever they come from without someone having to tell someone go and post in "the other side" etc.

Lichtsteiner should never have been bought. He is not a quality defender and that was blatantly apparent today.

Easy to fix.

1) Replace Lichstiener
2) Get a new CB
3) An LB is a must
4) Chiellini has to wake up

Angelo Ogbonna ? Great because he reminds me of Chiellini in that he can play as a left-back should he have to.

I still want to see De Ceglie, I do not think he has been able to show consistency, but a backup is needed, for sure.

Lichtsteiner should get out. Go back to a midtable club.

Roldoflho or Ogbonna would do.

Add in Kolarov in LB.

I think Lichsteiner is ok, but if there is a world class RB available then we must get him.

Isla.

Isla is an absolute talent. He can play so many positions as well, and I think he would do well on Juventus having played his whole career on Udinese and gathering more than one-hundred caps for them.

Only 23 years old too, or 24...either way, he would be amazing.

Marotta unfortunately cannot process a deal unless it is with teams that are midtable. Or players that are also of midtable quality.

As Cesare Pompilio said, Marotta would be good at a club like Atalanata, not Juventus.

5 games and Buffon had only been forced into 11 saves

Yet, people wanted Storari to be our starting goalie and wanted to sell the legend. Too funny.

As for our defense, well I would put Chiellini back as a CB with Barzagli and Bonucci should be relagated back to the bench as a sub. We need to get Rhodolfo in January for depth purposes. As for left back, I like Kolarov so swap Krasic for Kolarov.

As for right back, Lichtsteiner is pretty much useless at attacking, although he is solid defensively. We already paid 12m for him so don't know what else we can do now at RB. Maybe get a solid backup for now. Mauricio Isla would be good choice.

Chiellini was working real well today other than when he left his marker that resulted in a goal...

Elia for Esti or Krasic for Esti & then make him & Pepe change wing
Del Piero or QUAG for Vuinic
Pazienza For Marchisio (If he wanted to play more defensive mid field)

Wow, some comments are so hilarious.

First, everyone was praising Lichsteiner for like SIX games and now he has a bad game now he is the bad motherf*cker who ruined the game? He runs the most in the team like a robot and working so hard every match and he has been soo good this season, except yesterday. Maybe not the HIGHEST quality but he has such physical condition that is really needed for the side spots. The opponent always needs one more person to mark Lich. He is better defensively obviously (again, except yesterday) but his forward ravages can set up good chances as well.

And how can you blame the goalkeeper when it was the terrible defensive mistakes that ruined the match? Defense organization? What? Don't think the GK is controlling the brains of all 4 defenders. Obviously he gives orders but the mistakes were PERSONAL mistakes and Storari is nowhere to be blamed for them. Again, you guys fail to realize that since Chiellini is playing as LB and Bonucci in center (1 or 2 matches) our defense is pretty much terrible and leaky. Its that simple, Chiellini + Barzagli in mid because thats the only rock solid formation. We are still better with a mediocre PDC on the left and Chiellini and Barzagli in the mid than with this.
To simplify: Chiellini is not good as a left back any more. Thats a fact.
Bonucci shouldn't start even he wasnt the worst defender on the pitch yesterday.
Chiellini + Barzagli duo in the center, that keeps the defense together and not Storari or Buffon..

People, people.. dont you know you are fake fans if you say Lichtsteiner has been our most solid defender together with Barzagli?

The defence has been solid with Buffon directing behind them. But there are two things that can make it even better:

A) Chiellini finding the form he had as a central defender a couple years ago.
B) Finding a world class left back so that we dont have to see De Ceglie as a starter.
