What external advantage (other than good management) do you see for Bayern?

Did those people just buy a foreign club out of the blue to throw money around?Buy most of their players from other top clubs and rivals for ridiculous amounts of money?Or did they slowly build their empire...Those people did not buy success for their teams.

Did that Sheikh give a f*ck about City?No...If it wasn't for sale he would've just bought another one.

Inter is not much better in that respect though.

Nor should I complain as a Real Madrid fan (BUT I CAN AS AJAX FAN.).

You are sort of correct though, were it not that ManU isn't exactly homebred team no. 1.

It is making football rather monotonous and less heroic though, but whatever, MANU LOST.

Moratti's didn't make Inter.

Does that matter? Everyone calls Madrid a money club, and they are the club with the most history out there (or, if you will, comparable to Inter). I am just saying that we are all watching big clubs spending hard cash on buying the star players from smaller teams that can't really do anything against it. If they recently started doing it, or if they have been doing so since the early 90ies, doesn't matter.

How many of Inter's players are from the Milan area?

It does matter,it matters very much. How can you not have more respect for clubs with wonderful history and legacy?

Thats a toatlly different topic, the source of money etc... but in principal all did the same, all clubs spent BIG to get where they are.

I'm sorry and I am usually the last person to say stuff like this but I can't help but feeling the people who are bashing City in this thread are being totally racist.

I mean if City's owners were American, Russian, Italian, Spanish etc etc I don't think they would get this much hate. I mean if you get your billions from stealing from the Russian people over Oil is that better?

Where are the threads bashing Chelsea when they win, or Liverpool as there turn around was totally because some white guys bought the team and spent a bunch of money. All teams spend money just because you spend less doesn't make it better.

If anything it's how the system is set up and IMO the more an owner spends the more comitted he is to there team and there fans, I don't see what's wrong with this?

There is no wining with fans, they either hate Mike Ashley for not spending or hate City for spending a lot.

Again, it seems racist more then anything when you single City out.

chelsea got its share of bashing when they were coming up !! and i don't think they were ever stupid with money like man city.

man city are a new kid on the block, i don't want them to succeed because they are full of money and it reminds me of cheating in FM.

Another reason why i'm against it, is that it will make clubs borrow more to stay competitive, and only 1 club can win, meaning their loans won't be paid off as they might hope.

I'm all for FFP!

I see what you guys are saying and again, I don't mean to call anyone racist but it's just the tone of what people say about city. Stuff like there disgusting, or there ruining the game just stuff that's uncalled for, it just seems to me it's racist.

No one says anything when other teams spend. People have to realize that other teams already have the core of there team in place, when City was bought they had to totally overhaul there team, not just there first team but there reserves too.

So if there owners ambitions were to make the CL and compete for the league in under 5 years then really they spent the amount of money that they needed to, these are not easy goals.

I really don't see what the issue is. Despite everything Wenger says you gotta splash the cash if you want to have a team that can win things.

Having another strong team in the mix is good for the game overall.

I really don't what is wrong here...

Lawl. How many academy players are there in their team ?

Valdes, Puyol, Pique, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Thiago, Fabregas, Pedro, Sergio Busquets, etc.

So they don't spend money on players... scratch

They do, rather stupidly if I do say so myself, but at least it is somewhat of a balance and most of them are on the bench bar Villa, though I guess that makes it even worse. Honestly, if Barca did not spend when they did not need to, I would like them more, but you cannot overlook the utilization of academy youth.

Barca got to the point where it could safely promote the youth team because of their previous monied all star team (Ronaldinho & Friends). Lets not forget that a big reason for the success of their youth team is because they have alot of funding for it (Look at iniesta and messi, the two most brilliant and why they went to barca) and that they could attract the former players and staff of ajax through offering monetary incentives.

Very valid points, but I would rather see a structure built like Barcelona have done with money than a team simply bought by offering players ridiculous wages.
