Valdebebas Suites

Floflo is about to launch the second phase of la Ciudad deportivo de Valdebebas, which is the construction of dorms and a place of residence for the first team.
It's going to be a residence hotel for the first team to go on concentrations before games.
It's going to be modeled after Milanelo or la Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas, where players from Milan or La Roja respectively, focus before games.
It will also incorporate dorms for the canteros players to live in.
Works are starting in 2012.

I think it's Adit who was complaining about the Cantera not having dorms and having to live on Uni campuses right? well, Uncle Flo is taking care of it now.
No way he doesnt get elected again, just imagine if RM wins la liga.

Most of you wont take this as a big thing but i will..
Do you know why we missed out on exceptional talents like iniesta,messi,neymar etc etc in early days? because we couldnt offer them a proper dorm and living style to those kids.Which parent will leave their son alone in a city like madrid ?
We missed out on inesta for exact same reasons.This will be a huge step for our cantera,more and more talents will be ready to join our castilla

Barca got messi,iniesta and thiago only because they had dorms (la masia) and no other clubs had at that time..
Agreed on second part too,a club like ours should have done it way earlier

The idea is good for the cantera, but a bit stupid for the grown men who have their own multimillion mansions. Didnt they abolish the concentracion anyway?

We have a cencentracion before every game.....

Yes, he does it once in a while if the players chain games in quick succession, and if they win a certain amount of games, he gives them a break.
Last time it was the game in Lyon, after that hard earned win over the weekend, he cancelled the concentration as a reward.
It's a positive thing, they want to create a more collegiate atmosphere to the team somehow, it's going to suit some like marcelo, and maybe a little less guys like Alonso, but every one will find an happy middle.
Most important thing are the canteras dorms ofc.

On game day the squad stay in a hotel and pretty much "concentrate" together on the game. Mou feels it help's with creating a team spirit.

AFAIK its always unpopular with the players and Iker's first act as captain was to get Mou to stop them as soon as he arrived. I dont know if they started them again now.

They never stopped.
The players didn't like it at first because they really weren't used to the idea of being a team. Now they understand why Mou insists on it.
