Toni Kroos vs Wilshere

Who would you rather have in you team..?

Forgive me my bias - I'd choose Toni Kroos

Kroos, people will hate me here (mostly Arsenal fans) but Kroos is a lot more intelligent on the pitch (footballing brain). He'll grow to be a big game player
As far as technical potential goes, they both have high ceilings

They are both Great players, probably among the best of their generation.

I will rather have both of them in my team, but if I have to choose one then I will go with Kroos.

I am not going to hype his ability or talk about his ability, but I will say his got more experience and can play in different position and can also play different roles.

IIRC Wilshere can play any midfield position, as well on the wings as well. on topic, Wilshere any day.

Both are great and would be wonderful additions to our midfield. I personally love Kroos though.

Kroos' isn't similar to Zidane or other greats, no need to compare now, we'll see at the end of his career.
What he has in common with the likes of Zidane and Iniesta is his role in the team. He starts off as CM deeper like

When he plays but as soon as he sees possibilities or starts a pass himself he moves up into CAM position:

Piggy does it as well like in the diagram above but Kroos is allowed to go even into wing position, as far as an inside forward (Muller). Like you could see in youtube videos, he has no problems to pass, cross or shoot with either foot from everywhere.
Zidane and Iniesta were/are hybrid CM/AM like him. Their ability to switch their role upon reading the game makes their influence on the teams play overall huge. Zidane had insane stamina and ball control so his job was more than influencig upper midfield only. Iniesta and Kroos share their responsibilities with Xavi and piggy respectively more

Read the upper part of my post. To play like that the player needs to be like live coach on the pitch. He has to tactically read the game to adapt his game appropriatly all the time. For that, you need an insane footballing brain, Ramshere don't have it at Kroos' level. If they meet each other (Arsenal vs. Bayern), piggy+Kroos will easily dominate your Ramshere

Muller might score more, but overall Kroos might just edge him

You're comparing a midfielder (Kroos) with a forward (Muller) They're very different. Muller is a tad smarter while Kroos is more technical

I'd take Mueller over Kroos any day of the week. They're both awesome, though. Now that Kroos is getting his confidence back, he might be at Mueller level, though.

Anyways, Wilshere and Kroos are both great. Wilshere has infinitely better workrate, tackling abilities, positioning and drive. He's suited for a more deeper role as Wenger showed us, where he excells due to high workrate and great passing. He's also pretty damn fast.

Kroos can also play here, but IMO, he's not aggressive enough and lacks the drive and tackling needed for a deep role. He could definitely play in there when backed up by another defensive oriented player, as a possession keeper or a regista. Against Wilshere, Kroos is a better passer, is more creative and can play pretty much anywhere. I know Jack can also do this, but in the big leagues he's only proven to play in central positions, while Kroos can even play on the wing. Kroos also has a monster shot and is a decent finisher, never mind he's completely two footed. I mean this literally, he can shoot and pass with both with no problems at all.

So it's another case of what you're looking for. I prefer Wilshere in a deeper role, Kroos in a more advanced one and that's that.

I'm never picking an Arsenal or Bayern player over another unless you talk Henry or Kahn, anyways

I am not going to lie, this is the first time I hear of Kroos. I rate Jack very highly and from what I have been reading here Kroos looks like to be a quality player and I am going with what Sushi said.

Kroos has a unbelievable shot on him, but aside from that, I think Whilshere is a bit better.

I think maybe when Whilshere gets back from injury and he starts dominating people will remember more vividly how good he is.

Kroos is more of a CAM who can play on the wings as well. As far as technique goes the word is very widespread. Wilshere's ball control and defensive behaviour are a lot better than Kroos' but Kroos' passing technique is superior to Wilshere. He is completly two footed and can lob/cross/play a through ball from all over the pitch (vision) precisely. You could make a better picture of him if you watch him against Man City away
He is comparable with Ballack with the difference that he has more technique but less physique

Wow tough one, for me, I would take Wilshere in my team but I reckon Kroos is the better player.
