Ok this is my first post but i regulary visited the former goal forums, more so to look than to comment. its great that a post-goal forum site has been created with the majority of users switching here but rather than just keeping it between the ex goal users i think this forum has the potential to do very well. the problem is no one really knows about it., Yes there are dozens of bigger [but not nessesarily better] football forums out there but this ones seems hidden.

e.g even when u type in goal legacy , the page hardly come sout straight away, it needs to be advertised better on search engines.

maybe a quick and sharp advertising spree from loyal users around the net will help people notice this site,


there seems to be at best 70 registered users at one time on this site, which i think can be improved upon

any thoughts.suggestions are welcome

Umm, the first result is the Facebook page followed by the forum link. Using Google here.

but why would someone type in goal legacy as a first thought to find a footy forum


and looking on the top 20 football forums, there is no link to this site, thats my point, advertisement people! having this site put in a top 20 list or something like that would increase hits

Just tried it now and it was the 6th result on google, 5th for the facebook page. Goal.com pages were before it.

i know a site that would be advertise the forums a lot but i am not sure if the admins would want to advertise there.

well we want to start the real advertising before the new season begins so just increasing the members slowly atm

Ok guys, i was thinking of printing off little business cards with the website on it and leaving them around various places in London. Nothing fancy, something along the lines of "Google; Goallegacy" with "join us" underneath perhaps and leaving them on trains, buses, tourist hotspots etc. What you reckon?

I have a friend who makes such cards and he said he'd make some for me for free (well, almost free, i owe him a drink or three)
