How highly do you rate Cavani?

Gomez is still the best #9. Cavani is right behind him though.
Both are complete strikers though, but I do like Cavani's style of play a lot more.

You guys are rating him so high because he's been so good in CL. I doubt any here (or at least very few) have watched him in Serie A. In Serie A, he's been very average. Not a lot of goals and poor efficiency.

Hav'nt watched Napoli much in Serie A this year, but he tore it apart last year.......

Napoli, in general, have been average this season. That's not entirely down to Cavani though. Give him chances and he's going to put them away. The like of Lazio and Catania, whom both earned points at Napoli's expense, simply defended better than Citeh did yesterday and actually managed to keep Cavani off the pace, which Citeh also couldn't do because of Mancini's ridiculous decision to break what wasn't broken.

Good CL form, meh league form, so Gomez is still God.
He's right there behind him, though. Great striker. More complete than Gomez but not as clinical.

Cavani broke the 20+ goals in a season mark for the first time in his career last year and he's 24. If he had put 2-3 20+ goal seasons and was being meh in league this season, i'd write it off. But one great season alone and then an up and down one to follow = not one of the top strikers in the world. Very talented, but lacks consistency.

he had 2 ok seasons in Palermo, both 15+15, almost 0.5 ratio + almighty WC performance
Him joining to Juve will improve him next season
