cristiano was so bad. Its unbelievable how Mou subbed off Ozil who had some great touches with Di Maria and Benz instead of Ronaldo who is legit useless

I was hoping to see Callejon, a real warrior

Problem for Mourinho is that CR is so good in other matchs that if he bench him, it may affect Real negatively in other matchs. But I agree, he should not play against Barcelona.

I wonder if Ozil was actually exhausted or not when he got subbed off. If he got subbed off and he wasn't than tired, then I'll be pretty pissed.

I thought most of the team played well (esp. Benzema and Lass), but the second half was the undoing.

No one can disagree about Ronaldo being the worst. It was a truly forgettable match for him.

ronaldo marcelo and di maria were the worst players on the pitch. i was impressed by benzema, ozil (why was he subbed), coentrao (landed nearly all his tackles and was pretty solid defensively), and tbh lass (was more effective than xabi anyhow)

The di Maria hate flows after clasico's for good reason Deez.. In Barca games we need to keep the ball a little better, they should not always be getting the lion's share possession. Last night the players with poor passing technique gave the ball away to often because they could not play passes under the pressure of Barca's style of pressing. These players specifically were Pepe at the back, and Cristiano and Di Maria up front. For me it was nice to see Benz and Ozil cool under pressure and not passing the ball away. Also what happened to simple balls backwards? Xabi and Lass are both decent at keep ball passes, why if there was nothing on for the wingers did they not just pass backwards to build again? Instead of drilling ridiculous inaccurate cross-field balls. Kaka is also pretty solid with keep ball passing, he came on and did a remarkably better job on the ball when given the few opportunities. Its a composure thing, and a lot of players lose their passing composure under immense pressing.

ill admit vdv was not effective against barca, though he did have one excellent match against them.

but robben, RUUD scratch

(who you seemed to turn a blind eye to was one of our best against barca check his el clasico goals), and sneijder have a great record against barca.

ill just assume you started watching madrid post 08.

this is all besides the point. ronaldo is supposed to be one of the best players in the world and he misses 2 vital sitters. we rely on ronaldo to score goals and he failed us last night. simple as that but go on with your deluded dreams.

You guys are talking about selling ronaldo!!! ok he's had a few bad games against barca but then who hasnt?? Granted that he missed two sitters last night which cost us the game but lets not panic just yet. There have been countless times when ronaldo has single handedly dragged us to a win against the"small teams". If we cant beat barca with ronaldo in the team, do you really think that we'll do that without him?? Would you rather have him in your team or in the opposition?? Just saying...

di maria was hands down our best player on the pitch...even kaka when he came on displayed flashes of his old self...if only ronaldo had finished those two sitters...the fact that di maria missed those passses was more due to the pitch made slippery by the rainfall than his poor judgement...did u see the number of times our players were slipping and sliding...if anything it was di maria's awesome tracking back that made iniesta invisible in the first half...heck he went past four players after winning the ball in his own half only to loose his balance due to the slippery conditions...so dont just hate on hi...give credit where its due

that he did...and robben was one of our best players against barca...anyone remember the 4-1 at the bernabeu?? he ripped them to shreds...and dont even mention van the man!!! sneijder was shit against everyone in his second season...vdv was just unlucky because he was bought by calderon...and he had to compete against kaka...a no contest really

We can and should be critical of our players when it's deserved, but too often it's taken as fickle and knee jerk around the forum. Like you, I've never supported the notion of selling but I do feel he should be subbed and/or dropped when it's for the best interest of the team.

The problem is that Mou won't make such a call.

I watch football all around, and ive seen various el classico's, and ronaldo for years.

One thing i can say is that he's a broken player.

He possesses many traits, of all types, that make him a great and valuable player in his own right, but when push comes to shove, his mentality and game plan, clash with the objective.

He is far too selfish,and is footballistically speaking lacking intelligence.

Thats why i see him as a player that will die out, or better yet would be nothing without his positioning, speed, and power.

Hes not the smartest of players, and you would have to go deep to realize all his faults, but try not to obsess on it.

I can totally agree that your coach must do the right thing at the right moment.

From years of watching mourinho, hes a man that isnt to be daddled with. He will take a player off, if he deems it worthy.

A talk between the two, at the very least is needed.

Game plan, and mind plan two important things.

dont think he should waste important set pieces either. He did so today on both ends.

It was offside , it was f**king offside.

you can see the goal again , from the beginning , the moment i think when pepe hardly cleared a pass before it get xavi, you can clearly see that a barca player was offside behind pepe.

i know that it didnt reach that player(think iniesta or alexis) , but remember at camp nou 2 sasons ago when pique handled the pass from cr7 to higgy who was offside , the referee gave us a freekick and booked pique before reversing his decision and gives barca a freekick as higgy was offside also the pass didnt reach him.
