So clearly there is rhetoric on both sides of this issue from him. But it can hardly be said that over the course of the summer, he's done a whole lot to really put any and all speculation to bed. A player who's 100%, unequivocally happy where he is and has zero interest in moving to any of the clubs reported to be interested in him wouldn't have been saying the things he has the last few months.

Or he's clearly been misquoted to sell papers. Not buying anything that isn't from BBC, The Times or a newspaper from his homeland.

So every quote indicating he's happy and wants to stay is 100% true and accurate and every one suggesting anything otherwise is made up out of thin air to "sell papers". Okay.

They're direct quotes. Newspapers make up stupid rumours and phony speculation, but you'll rarely find any blatantly fabricate full-length direct quotes.

I post most if not all rumours daily, regardless of their feasibility or likelihood. I'm not using that article or any other to make any kind of argument in support of one position or another.
