Well, he is defending himself, and he is perfectly right in what he says. It's something Mourinho could have said to be honest. They just belong in that class of manager that believe that their way is the best, and that's often how they deal with adversity, they can get stubborn. Only, we are seeing the wrong side of his stubbornness at the moment, and it doesnt look good. One might say that it's that kind of thinking that got Arsenal where they are now, but he is perfectly right. He is probably dealing with a set of factors that we have no idea of, but Journalists and fans alike will do their job and keep questioning, it's part of the game, and it's not like everything that is being said is completely wrong either.

hes wrong if he thinks that means no one who hasnt managed a football club can critisise him. Its not rocket science, we can see when he is doing a poor job with or without our managers badges

We can't see all the factors playing into the equation, so people who have no experience managing football teams can criticize and criticize but their words will be weightless as they've never actually been in his position. It's so easy to throw stones.

Nobody knows more about the Arsenal team than him, nobody. So from his point of view, why would he listen to you?

Nick is right, its normal for people to be like this when things go wrong. And Wenger is defending himself and doing it fair enough.

People can be critical, but he has no reason to really listen.

His reason to listen is the continous and progressive weakening of Arsenal season after season. When Wenger started his youth project he expected to have champions in a few years. Way after that, even his grown youth don't believe in him and leave one after the other.
