He is their 2nd choice goalkeeper. Malafeev (1st choice) is much better than this guy.

Probably cost them the tie, which is a real shame because they were the better team and the first two goals they scored were absolutely stunning. Artur wasn't great for Zenit's last goal either, but the defending was awful too.

I feel sorry for Spaletti to have to endure that after he planned his tactics to perfection. Could have easily been 3-0 instead.

Managing to create chances for Benfica by weakly palming shots that weren't on target back into the field of play. Malafeev's missed one match all season, so it's very tough for a player to step up into this type of game with little preparation throughout the whole footballing year, however that was an unforgivable performance. You can't simply throw away goals at your opposition and hope you'll somehow make it through.
