BO3 beta was really good and if it weren't for Battlefront I would have got it

Re: Call of Duty> You Thread.
It wasn't a good beta by any means. It just puts an illusion of being good because you had a good laugh.
See your posts before advanced warfare was release or before Ghosts was release. It was the same thing
BO3 IMO is just an AW mod which will hopefully flop but still expecting people to buy it like crazy and keep the shithole of a company which is activision in business.

Not gonna deny that RG tbh, but to be frank sometimes when you are enjoying yourself you will completely ignore a fault a game has.
Fifa Pro Clubs is a prime example, the game is *bleep* horrendous but it's such a good time from a online gaming point of view that you almost forget it.

I'm getting it, haven't invested time in to an online shooter for years now, so it's about time I got back in to it, can't keep playing just FIFA and whatever single player game is out (SP games obviously take no time at all to complete)

My initial reaction to Ghosts was pretty indifferent, whereas with AW I basically just hoped that I would somehow manage to compete against other players without using the boost jump mofo kamikaze system. Considering it was the first CoD game on current gen consoles, I did expect it to improve upon past games in the franchise in some ways.. but yeah, it really didn't do that at all I also struggled to get used to the PS4 controller in that game, and at no point in time did I feel that I played as well as I'm capable of, so I was always stuck with the feeling that AW was the worst CoD experience to date. The maps in AW were total shit, in my opinion - which is usually make or break in games like these. Other people didn't seem to mind them as much, though.
I didn't really hype myself up for the Bops 3 beta much, but I think it was, at the very least, a very decent experience. I can't possibly see how it can be any worse than Ghosts and AW, and I'm genuinely looking forward to playing it on different maps.

I lost my desire to play AW after less than a week. I played it a few times after that, just for the sake of playing it. I will NOT be getting AW 2.

Yeah, I'm getting it. Like you keep saying, I need my fix of a brainless FPS game. Battlefront is not going to provide me with that, as it's a relatively different type of FPS game. It's like with FIFA. I swear, it's the most frustrating game in existence, and EA clearly aren't improving or fixing the things that they were expected to do several years ago, but there's no other game out there that provides the same experience. I also have friends and colleagues who play these games, so I'll always have someone to play with. I already deleted AW some time ago. I wasn't going to let that crap be my only Call of Duty game on PS4.

It's funny Thimmy, but aside from all the Star Wars stuff that's the reason i enjoyed it so much. The brainless simplicity.
Dunno if i'm getting old or something but i'm really not interested in FPS games which are complex and/or full of features to pad out the game but the game itself isn't fun.

I'm glad Battlefront is coming out same time as cod. HATED the super power things ala destiny in BO3 beta.

Yeah, I've been recommended different tactical RPGs and third person FPSs under the pre-text that "games like COD are dumb, too simple, and thus no fun". I can enjoy games like that every once in a while, but yeah.. in a way, I appreciate the brainless simplicity of games like CoD and FIFA. I think we're both getting old I can't be arsed to put a lot of time and effort into mastering more complex games anymore.

I only really disliked the Re-jack ability, which worked similarly to last stand from previous CoDs. I heard they've already decided to nerf or replace it in the full release. Remains to be seen..

Well, as much as I'd like people to stop purchasing FIFA games every year, and force EA into actually improving their games and fixing issues that have been around since the 80s, that just isn't going to happen
Call of Duty won't change much either. The franchise is far too popular compared to their competitor(s), that it's worth changing things up or attempting to reinvent the genre. Even if Battlefront turns out to be the best FPS game EA's ever made, it most likely won't sell even half as many copies as CoD.

Not sure that's true Thimmy, the hype surrounding the new film is real.
I do expect CoD to sell more but i think it might be closer than people think.

Re: Call of Duty> You Thread.
Cod hasn't sold 10+ on a single console since BO2.
Ghost did 9 ish (smh ) on PS3 & 360. 3 & 2 mil on PS4 & ONE.
AW did 6-7 on PS4 & 4-5 on ONE.
Battlefront will easily sell 5+ on PS4 & ONE. EA said they would sell 10+ on PS4 & ONE.
Really hope BO3 flops harder. They know people just want dat cod4-waw-mw2 trio

yup lol...passed on Halo 5
Stop wasting time with COD and get your ass on Halo mate, the skill ceiling is insane, which I guess shouldn't be a surprise since Halo 5 was made with E-sports in mind and with the help of pro players. Bad habits I've gained from other FPS's mean that I've been getting bent over in Arena at times, but it's made me a much better player in the process. I've never enjoyed getting my ass kicked so much in my life.

Yeah I understand, sometimes people want to just switch on their Xbox, play a few casual fun matches of their favourite FPS and then log off for the night, I get that, but I'm at the stage where that isn't enough for me.
Logging onto an FPS and crushing casuals doesn't do anything for me anymore, constantly destroying people get's boring, I need to be challenged, that's what I look for in my FPS's these days. Halo 5 is the first FPS in the long time that's given that to me, I mean I'm getting wrecked, absolutely wrecked, but I'm loving it because I know it's making me a better player in the process.
Many people wouldn't like this and would probably give up on the game, and I ain't going to judge, that's obviously their right, but this is the hardcore shit that I've been looking for and I'm thankful for 343 getting the pro players in to ensure that it happened.

Re: Call of Duty> You Thread.
ya im definitely at the casual fps stage....i used to be all hardcore and wanting the challenge and making myself better etc. but i just don't got the time anymore, i come home from work and log on to play with friends and have a laugh.
Halo was never my cup of tea to begin with, I own halo 3 and 4 but even when those came out and I was in my hardcore FPS stage, Halo was always 2nd fiddle to CoD for me....so now I just can't justify buying it because I know I won't play it once CoD/Battlefront comes out now that I have less time then before.
