No one's denying Matrix was an asshole....but there are plenty of assholes in the world (including me).....you can do much worse

If you're going to hate him, hate him for his play...I'll even admit he was a dirty player and he made some horrible tackles, no doubt about that...but he is no worse than Roy Keane etc...

he was very dirty and definitely made some bad tackles. but i remember him saying something along the lines of him never injuring anyone (unlike players like keane and de jong, breaking legs and ruining careers)

he definitely did some challenges which could have injured players, but what defensive player hasn't besides a few special ones? the fact that he was annoying and dirty just made him look more aggressive and dangerous. so he made some awful challenges, but i thnk not as many as people believe. most of them were just dirty things like kicking players just to be annoying, not to injure

In fact even though he had some really squeam-worthy tackles I don't remember off the top of my head any really gruesome injuries resulting from them...no broken legs, no torn ligaments, no shattered ankles etc...Im sure part of that was a little luck, but it still deserves mention...

Materazzi was a good defender, a fighter, a world cup hero and loyal to his club, that's why Inter fans like him

I hate how people say "what he did to Zidane", he shit talked, big deal... Zidane should grow a pair, shit talking comes in any competitive sport, the normal reaction is not a headbutt.

Maybe I hadnt watched him actually when he played good tbh He was usually on the subs bench, and I just happen to watch him eg. when he got owned by Man U in Mourinho's first season at Inter, owned by Ibra's kung fu kick, not his fault obviously :lol!: etc etc... he must have had some value for Inter to keep him for so long anyway

Materazzi was a good defender. he is great in the air and he can score from corners. sometimes he screws up but in general he was a good defender for us and he plays with a lot of heart.
