Anyway, looks like that save was an integral part of the win today, assuming Kos still scored an OG. People will talk about RVP (understandably so) but Szczesny was as important today. Made some ridiculous saves to keep us in the game

He saved it cool but he parried the ball into the middle of the box. Not the best thing to do in that situation. He wouldn't have had to make a double save of he blocked the penalty properly.

You're aware that the vast majority of saves penalties always rebound back into the penalty area, right?

^When it comes to penalties, all that's expected of you is to touch the ball, because you have to rely on complete guesswork, it's very hard to intentionally parry the ball out on a penalty....

That he parried it back across the frame of the goal is what im complaining about, not it going back into the penalty area.

You'd know this because you've played goalie before ?
Much harder to parry the ball back across the frame of the goal than away from the play.
