Gareth Bale uncertain on his Tottenham future
The left-sided midfielder told BBC's Football Focus: "If we don't [qualify for the Champions League], I have to discuss what's best for myself."
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17879753
If Tottenham don't get into the CL (or even if they do), should Bale request a transfer and if so, what would be a sensible new destination for him?

I don't see United getting another winger, and if they do it will be one that can play in the hole ala Gaitan/Mata.

Would do well as a left back in la liga if he learns to defend....would be a absolute disaster at left wing.I honestly think he could add to Barca because from what I've seen his low crossing is spot on.
I can see him at Juve.

If he came cheap of course it'd be a good buy for Barcelona but eh..Le Samourai wrote:Would do well as a left back in la liga if he learns to defend....would be a absolute disaster at left wing.I honestly think he could add to Barca because from what I've seen his low crossing is spot on.

Josh is right, would be wonderful as Left wing back for Juventus.
Too bad Spurs will try to price him at premium value...

Not unlikely really, switch up the formation to a better 3-4-3 and it's solvedGanso wrote:Alves and Bale, yeah right.....it would be pretty awesome to watch though
although I would prefer a more defensive Left back

A young overrated English player hands in a transfer request?
Dat transfer fee
Unless someone like juve/Milan want to break the bank for him I can only see him going to city Madrid or barca

You changed your formation this season and look at what happened...Gomez83 wrote:Not unlikely really, switch up the formation to a better 3-4-3 and it's solvedGanso wrote:Alves and Bale, yeah right.....it would be pretty awesome to watch though

When a club changed formation into a new one and it doesn't work does that mean they are forced into going back to old one? :vagi:Ganso wrote:You changed your formation this season and look at what happened...Gomez83 wrote:Not unlikely really, switch up the formation to a better 3-4-3 and it's solvedGanso wrote:Alves and Bale, yeah right.....it would be pretty awesome to watch though

Re: Gareth Bale uncertain on his Tottenham future
In top clubs it is only natural to keep changing especially when you want to stay top, not always a 100% chance to work obviously but you cannot blame change it'd be illogicalGanso wrote:dont try to fix what isint broken?actually, dont try to fix whats perfect?Gomez83 wrote:When a club changed formation into a new one and it doesn't work does that mean they are forced into going back to old one? :vagi:Ganso wrote:You changed your formation this season and look at what happened...Gomez83 wrote:Not unlikely really, switch up the formation to a better 3-4-3 and it's solvedGanso wrote:Alves and Bale, yeah right.....it would be pretty awesome to watch though

---Pique-Puyol-Masherano-
Alves---------------------Bale
-----------Busquets---------
-----Xavi---------Iniesta----
--Alexis/Pedro------------
------------Messi------------
Even better, Barca could probably set up with Busquets in defense and let him play DM most of the game and throw Thiago on in his place.

He will probably stay because he will be overpriced, if he does move anywhere, I would predict Barca.

Re: Gareth Bale uncertain on his Tottenham future
I find it odd that people think he can play left back or left wing back. Bale is not a good defender at all, unlike Dani Alves, and the reason he's done so well in the last season and a half is because he's been absolved of all defensive duties.
He's a left winger, pure and simple, and devastating on form, but also predictable and slightly one dimensional. He will not be worth the price that Spurs will inevitably put on him.
