Diame has a heart problem right?

He does, but it's not one he's had an issue with while playing the game. Whelan is being his usual **** self and trying to ruin the lads career by blowing it out of proportion since Diame is leaving Wigan.

Newest rumors for your amusement (and I do mean amusement, not consideration, as there isn't a reputable source among the lot):
-Daniel Sturridge is apparently a target for 12-15 mil
-We are looking at Adam Johnson (no price that I seen mentioned)
-Rodgers has apparently spoken with Sigurdsson over the weekend

Of the lot, I'd say that the one involving Sigurdsson is the most plausible. Sturridge wouldn't be a bad target. I actually rate him pretty highly, and he could potentially fit the wide striker or mobile CF mold of Rodgers's system. Looks to be more reading between the lines on the part of the gossip rags than an actual story. We need a right-side attacker... Sturridge might be available... We must be after him. Same with Johnson. Downing sucked last year... Johnson hasn't played much... We must be after him. Oh yeah... and they're both British. Being British automatically puts you on LFC's radar according to the rags.

I'd be concerned with Sturridge or Johnson for more than 10m as both have some rather worrying faults (Sturridge's lack of intelligence and selfish, Johnson inconsistency and poor stamina).

I hope both links are just paper talk and that the club are looking for some better value-for-money options.

If you read his actual quotes it seemed more like he was just name dropping Liverpool, I doubt there's serious interest.

Kalou has more goals off the bench then anyother player in the history of the PL

Kalou's wage demands might be too high, he's coming from Chelsea after all. Otherwise I'd take him.

This. Other than wages, he could be a good replacement for Kuyt. Only thing I worry about is him being a little too direct for Rodgers's system. Most likely not going to happen, so it doesn't matter.

Actually, I think there is truth in the rumor that we're trying to take one of Tello, Cuenca or Afellay from Barca. The rumors are that we're after whichever one they want to let go. Obviously, the most attractive is Afellay, but he's also the least likely to leave (not since he was world player of the week in the run up to the Euros). All make sense, as they are acclimated to a similar style of play to Rodgers and are young wingers who like getting into good attacking positions. I'd be happy if these are true. Maybe not world beaters, but good players that can contribute and continue developing the new LFC culture and style.

Other than Afellay I wouldn't take those other scrubs from Barca, mainly since I'm a Madrid fan and hate Barca players (especially from la Masia).

^Cuenca is legit.

So long as we don't rely on Cuence/Tello to be the game changing wide forward/winger that we need I'd love us to sign either. I'm not sure Barca will be willing to negotiate at a price we'd realistically offer, though.

-No to Kalou.

-Get rid of Aquilani AND Cole. (Bored of this whole Aquilani saga. Would of wanted him to stay, but it's annoying now.)
Adam to go to if he can't play the style Rodgers wants to implement.

-Get in Gylfi and Diame. Sign a marquee left winger. (You can only hope for Jovetic.)

-Promote Sterling and Suso.

-I'd accept either of the 3 from Barcelona but I don't believe they'll be interested in us to be honest.

How nice that we are getting Kalou who is the laughing stock of the EPL along with bringing dread to Chelsea fans every time he plays.

Would be an astoundingly underwhelming signing.

Do I also need to mention his poor "why always me" pre-madonna attitude?

Kalou would be a decent Kuyt replacement but you guys still need better wingers.

At 26, Kalou is supposedly in his prime. His value in the transfer market and to the team would (generally) only go down from here. Unless Rodgers really wants him I doubt the club will pursue any type of deal.

IF Hoilett is still available, I would imagine the club will do just that, as he'd be almost a perfect fit for Rodgers' preferred system.

It's Gylfi Sigurdsson.

In all honesty, If you could pick Kalou up on decent wages, you could very easily sell him on in a year for 10m if he has a good season. Maybe that is why the club is interested?

OT: Gylfi will be a very satisfactory signing from my point of view despite how little I have seen him. Statistically and what I have heard of him, this could be the start of a solid transfer season.
