report: Simon Velotti to be new fitness coach,player number to decrease to 25 players!

Reports are saying that simon velotti will be our new fitness coach,he used to be cagliari's fitness coach when Allegri was in charge. Each player will have individual fitness exercises to obtain maximum fitness,but the number of players will have to decrease from 33 to 25 players.

I don't know about this

I agree we have to ditch the deadweight but I much, MUCH prefer to have more players than not enough. Cutting 8 players from a squad and not replacing them is quite a significant chunk of our team leaving.

As BMF3 said, that's a significant drop in personnel, however when you consider that many within our squad were effectively not used the functional size is far below 33 in any case. Realistically once we displace the deadwood we'll have lost about three to four pairs of legs, with any holes which do arise in times of crisis hopefully being filled by primavera players who train regularly with the squad, something I hope that Allegri tries to encourage to bring more talents such as De Sciglio into consideration for the future.

What are Simon Velotti's credentials apart from working under Max in Cagliari? I guess time will tell whether his appointment will do any good.

I think cutting the squad down to 25 has more to do with reducing the our wages overall. Even with the amount of injuries we still managed to be competitive to a certain extent, however if the squad is reduced and we face a similar injury streak we might be in for a disastrous season.

not sure about this guy yet, but reducing the dead wieght is good. in case of injuries we can use youth players like we did years ago and gave Merkel a chance

GAZZETTA: Flamini will receive a 2 years renew, Van Bommel and Nesta have to evaluate their offers. Zambrotta to the US.Pippo will hang the boots, Roma will stay as a keeper's coach. Seedorf will go to Corinthians. Ambro, Yepes and Gattuso to renew.

Out of all people, Seedorf MUST stay in my opinion; he can be as useful as ever and although he can't play every week, he can still be valuable as a holding midfielder against ANY opponent.

Ambro, Yepes and Gattuso; we need to choose one of them to renew... renewing all three is a bad idea in my opinion.

If Van Bommel is to renew then I'd keep Gattuso for his dressing room status and move Ambrosini and Yepes on, as much as it pains me to discard our captain.

Fkin shiet got real ... so none of our DM's are going to leave are they ? I hope this is not true ...We need to cut our squad an make it younger not renew every old ass man ... because fk experience thats why ...it has given us nothing in the last couple of years ... time for all those guys to hang their boots and let this squad renew ... its been a fricking decade ...

Totally! we got too much DM. IMO, seedorf should stay while Gattuso and Ambro two choose one. Van Bommel to stay. As for Flamini I think it's a good deal because he is more dynamic although injury prone, I think he could rediscover his form... Btw, anyone know what's board gonna do with Muntari? I think since Traore coming, he should be send back to Inter.

This is fuc*ed up... We're going to pay useless players solely because their relationship with the administration is good. This is why we keep losing money. Pay gattuso 4M before tax,something close to 7M after tax so he can act like a cheerleader? No thank you.
