What are you talking about. Sneijder got the most votes from Journalists that year, if it was under the old rules he would have won.

It doesn't matter what happens after that, Balon D'Or is a yearly award and it only takes that year into account.

There was no old Ballon d'Or in that year, so it's pointless to even say he would have won with old rules. More voters will give the prize better esteem anyway, hence Messi won Fifa Ballon d'Or in 2010.

It's a subjective vote of 450 people, and they can have pretty much any criteria, because they don't have to explain their vote.

About Cristiano Ronaldo being more decisive in all the big game, thats a lie. Cristiano Ronaldo was more decisive than Messi in 1 game where as Messi was more decisive in all the other 5 clasicos.

And in the one where he was more decisive when he was not diving and giving his best to try and win the oscar, he had a worse game than Messi until he scored and after that he didnt do anything better apart from making one of the worst miss of the season.

Messi has 4 assists + 3 goals +1 created goal vs Madrid this season. how CR performed better than him in clasicos? because of his winner in last clasico? (even pedro would score that). ok he made madrid win once vs barcelona, but messi gave 4 wins for barcelona this season in el clasicos. how can you forget that madrid fans? even in his worst match he created a 1 vs 1 chance for xavi and fabregas. CR scores 1 tap-in or through ball so he is the best :facepalm:

performance wise CR is not even top-10 in the world. He scored some goals in clasicos (its strikers job), apart from that he did nothing, he didnt perform. he scored 2 goals vs bayern but he was flop of the match whole 120 minutes. but if you ask some cr fans they will say he performed great in that match

as a striker he deserves what he gets. but as an overall player he is not even top-3 in his team. and CR fans ask why in barca everything goes through messi? in madrid not? how is it possible if CR is an above avarage player and he has no ozil's creativness or vision. even Benzema is more creative than him. So why to blame Messi for this? let him be messi then we can see every attack going through him.

If Madrid buy Messi tomorrow they will built team around him, because he can do it. stop putting CR in messi level at everything. they have only one thing in common: Scoring. thats all

CR7 will have to do something spectacular in the Euros to win it, as it stands I do not see how it is so unclear on why Messi would not win it, Madrid fans logic : We won La Liga so CR7 must win it, when that logic really doesn't make sense on an individuals stand point, stats do make a difference and considering Messi just broke the most goals in a season how can you guys not see the people favoring him as the best of the year.

Is it even comparable to compare messi's last season to CR's this season? or is it comparable to compare messi's this season to CR's last season? Messi did more things in one season than CR did in last 3 seasons. CR was never better than messi since 2007-08. so stop using that logic "CR broke picici record last season"
