Who is Champions League player of the season ?

Drogba was lucky he didn't get his team out of the competition when giving away penalties in both the semifinal and the final. Besides that he was good in the later stages but I wouldn't put him as CL player of the season.

Messi made 2 beautiful assists against Milan he is not all about goals. if not 20 missed chances by barcelona vs chelsea in first leg then he would have 3-4 more assists

Drogba spends his time diving whole 90 minutes and at the end he scores a tap-in - people say he performed better than messi. so many kids here not even worth to discuss

Messi chocked when it mattered. Scoring 5 useless goals against a helpless Leverkusen doesn't make you the best.

On behalf of all the Chelsea fans, we thank Messi for taking Chelsea to the final! Firstly becouse he was the one who lost the ball for Lampard to launch a counter that lead to a goal, and for missing the penelty which showed up to be the game decider, and being a complete ghost vs. Chelsea.

For that, he should be crowned the best player of UCL - for helping Chelsea win their first ever Champions League trophy.

Messi goal or assist in 9 games, Drogba 5 games. If you think Chelsea won UCL only because Drogba scored penalty in a shootout, or that Barca were eliminated only because Messi failed to score from penalty, you are bigger fool than I thought. Messi put more work, and contributed more throughout the whole tournament, hence were clearly the best player.

Cole was better than Drogba in all of the matches performance-wise. Immense player.

I voted Cole, but you can't go wrong with Drogba or Cech tbh.

For me it is either Neuer or Cech, but Neuer wins out because he was brilliant against Real, too - and he stepped up and scored one effing pen in the final, too, even though he didn't win in the end.

Cleared off the line vs Napoli when a goal wouldve essentially knocked them out
Cleared off the line vs Barcato prevent giving up the crucial away goal
Lead the team by example and held them together after Terrys red and Barcas goals when the rest of the team looked to have lost hope and were about to throw in the towel and collapse
Superb display in the champions league final despite being forced to move around out of his comfort zone to try and help accomodate that Bertrand kid

For the most consistent performances in the most crucial moments, its definitely Cole for me
