Would he go down as Chelsea's greatest player in your books or just as one of the Legendary Chelsea players ?

Would you rank him above Terry and Lampard in the all time Chelsea's legends list ?

I'd put Lampard ahead of him.

Thing is about Drogba, is when he's up for it, he's *really* up for it (9 goals in 9 cup finals tells its own story) but he's went through massive spells when he just doesn't look bothered and looks lazy/past it.

I honestly don't know about the full history.. but from what I know.

Zola > Lampard > JT > Drogba > Denise

Zola is virtually untouchable in Chelsea. It would take another lil magician to go past him... eyeing Mata, lets see hehe..

amoung the top two or three for sure, Chelsea parking the bus in the CL this season, and tbh or physical style under mou and carlo, was based around having Drogba up front

It's like in 5 years me saying Suarez over Gerrard in Liverpool's greats list.

Zola was entertaining to watch but he couldn't even lead his Chelsea side to a Premier League title in his 5-6 years he was at the club.

Lamps, Terry and Drogs have won 3 of your 4 PL for you, your only CL and more than half of your FA Cups, not to mention they've been GOATs for you in the past decade.

Makes me think most of you only recently started supporting Chelsea and just heard of Zola's great moments and put him on an untouchable pedestal.

Zola took us tto unimaginable heights with a much less talented squad and ended our 27 year trophy drought with an FA Cup(along with RDM, Vialli, Gullit). Most of those players were "past it" and were not even as talented as the recent Chelsea teams in the first place. He also led us into the CL. TWICE. Without much of a budget.

If it weren't for the achievements Zola led us to in that period, we wouldn't even be where we are today. There wouldn't be a Roman Abramovich either. Us qualifying for the CL the season before played a HUGE part in RA taking over.

There are many other factors that would take A LOT to knock him off that No.1 spot in the heart of true Blues.
