If you wonder why the German NT chose to play Israel - they wanted to go against a team that would certainly park the airbus to practice breaking that down.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
Boateng doing really well as a RB, Müller is helping him aswell though. I think Germany has two good RB's in Höwedes and Boateng.

They should've chosen Greece for that IMO.

That GOATeng shot when he hit the post
Pretty neat. The team overall is rather disappointing though, but the first 15 and last 5 minutes were good, so I hope they'll get it together. I rather like Lahm at LB, makes Podolski look great again.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
Israel have 11 men behind the ball more often than not, so that objective works nicely. The drawback is that the German defense isn't tested at all.Lord Hispano wrote:They should've chosen Greece for that IMO.rwo power wrote:If you wonder why the German NT chose to play Israel - they wanted to go against a team that would certainly park the airbus to practice breaking that down.

Exactly. Although I'm pretty sure Greece are better at defending than Isreal whitlist I'm sure they have players who can also cause problems to the German D'. Namely Samaras and Ninis.

Re: 2012 International Friendlies
Well, Germany has it easier against a team that attacks them as then the fast counters can hit home comparatively easily. Germany has always had bigger problems when they have to try and break down a sturdy defense.Art Morte wrote:That's pretty confident considering their group in the Euros...rwo power wrote:If you wonder why the German NT chose to play Israel - they wanted to go against a team that would certainly park the airbus to practice breaking that down.
