Im saying Germany beat them by quite a big margin. Germany get one goal early, then Greece has to push forward, and then Germany score a few more. Germany to win 3-0.

greece will have a few decent chances throughout the match and defend with the whole team.
If they can score a goal it will be extremely difficult for germany.
But realistically Germany is at the least a 10:1 favourite.

With our best player out (Im greek), we don't stand a chance tbh, maybe Papa might lead the defense to glory though Im sure we will still win.

i predict easy win, although upset can happen also. Matt hummels has been world class, it will be hard to deal with him

The game will end a draw and go to extra time. Neither side will score in 30 minutes and it'll go to a shoot out.

We all know what happens then........

I read a lot of stuff these days from German and Greek papers.. ridiculous stuff that have nothing to do with football .

If only both set of papers care to make some proper journalism without trying to spark non-football controversies .. they would get non set of fans see this game more than a quarter final of the euros

As for the game . Logic says we are screwed , but there's little logic in football when it comes to these games. Anything can happen . Germany having great players obviously will have the upper hand all the time. They will play their football again and we can only deal with it .

But having to face a team which is more technical or has 10xtimes the quality we have , didn't stop us in the past . None fears the Germany team here , as crazy or naive this may sound .

More like we joke about how much we will concede or something along the lines But anyway , Greece will fight for it and whatever happens. It's just one game and this team has nothing to lose or regret. My problem is that Germany might not underestimate us , they don't fall for it .

BTW, n-tv interviewed some guys of FC Hellas Rüsselsheim (consisting mainly of German-Greeks) and they were pretty confident of Greece making it. Albeit some of them said if Germany would go on, they'd support them, too.

I didn't watch Ger vs Den, but I think Portugal & Holland feared Germany and gave them too much respect. Holland were poor overall but certainly Portugal could give a better match.
This means we haven't even seen Germany at their best yet they're the only team to hold a perfect record - dangerous!

It could be interesting if Greece played the way they did against Rus, for anyone to defeat Germany they will have to get at them and forget respect.
No point in sitting back they're far 2 good for that but I think the only team who will have the right mentality to beat them is Spain.

As i said against Russia , if we even consider trying something else than a 1-0 result , we are off the competition.

It's not like Greece has a choice here . We don't have the players to play offensively and even if we did , Germany would finish us on the counter already in the first half .

Best thing Greece can do is park the bus and attack from set pieces , which is something we are still good at . I am not sure we will be that lucky this time , but 1 corner kick might be all what we need , then Germany can deploy whatever they want on the pitch , we ll just stop playing football immediately

The real test will be the 1st half though. It's when Germany go all guns blazing mad and where Greece hasn't shown much so far. If the result is still 0-0 when the first half ends , anything can happen therafter.

Of course, no doubt I agree. What I was speaking about is spirit, Greece were very spirited against Rus, who were apart from kerzahkov a pretty decent outfit imo.

Greece had to win or they were going home, so even though they played for a 1-0 or whatever they still played for the win and it showed.
If they play with that same kind of attitude against germany it's a good match but if they go with the mentality of a draw and try to win on pens I think it's going to brutally hinder their chances.

For Greece to win they need Germany to have mental lapses
It's Germany The chances of it happening are very slim. Also, our defence isn't average
Even luck won't be enough because we have Özil He'll break any bus unlike Bayern side passers and there's Gomez, he doesn't ask twice before scoring He scored or assisted in every Germany game so far.
