Kind of shocked Boateng got 10...not sure he's worthy of it.

Also shocked pato took the 9. I'm excited for him because it's an honour but at the same time I wanted him to make the 7 his.

pato going with the 9... hopefully can leave the injury problems behind him with this change... and boateng with 10 is quite lol worthy, but maybe the real laugh should come from new #13.. hopefully he can prove me wrong as the season progresses.

Boateng getting the no.10 jersey is a very demoralizing sign for our transfer campaign.

And I can't find a kit number for Didac. Unless he's sticking to his no.35 jersey.

good to see DS get the number 2. hopefully that means the end of rubbish 1st choice LBs. sad that Didac may be leaving though. if DS picks up an injury we are screwed in the CL.

i don't trust ant or urby at LB against good opposition. it is clear to me that urby's best position is further up the field. whether it be on the left of a 3-man midfield or at TQ. neither position is ideal, but the formation just doesn't accommodate wingers.

I know you guys dont trust mesbah, but he has looked really solid with the NT. when he was gettin raped by arsenal, it wasn't just arsenal doing the raping.. i think he had a drop in form

He is ok in Serie A, but he struggles against the bigger teams. Didac and DS are really the future of LB at Milan. We never really replaced Maldini and since then every decent team has been able to exploit that. It was only a matter of time before our management realised that they would have to train up a youth player to fill the gap. Mesbah will either be sold to raise $ and reduce the wage bill or he will be used as a back-up in Serie A. I have respect for Mesbah as a player, but that away leg at Arsenal gives me nightmares.

Until there is more clarity concerning the left back position, which will only come as the season progresses, I don't mind Mesbah continuing on, he's proven himself consistently in the league and whilst I still wouldn't trust him in the Champions League, he would be a reserve to Antonini in most situations and he gives us a drive up the left flank that none of our other options give. Should De Sciglio prove to be used on the left and develop in such a position, relegating Antonini to the position of reserve, then we can move a player on, however for the moment there's no longer a real need to cut numbers from the squad and he's not a trouble maker.
