Re: 2012 Summer Olympics
They should have had a band with this line-up playing:
Drums: Paul McCartney
Keyboard / Guitar / Vocals: Bill Bailey
Lead Vocals / Bass Guitar: Lemmy Kilmister
Piano / Vocals: Tim Minchin
How cool would that have been

The Who was pretty good.
Apparently they were cut on NBC, so that explains why I didn't see it.
Still doesn't explain Radioheads absence But I guess they really wouldn't fit the whole 'Olympics' theme or whatever. I just love them too much though.
Oh yeah, and seriously NBC? WTF? Cut out "Muse, The Who, and Davie Ray of the Kinks" for a stupid show? So awful. So bad.

Re: 2012 Summer Olympics
Apparently David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols and Kate Bush were among the artists who turned down the opportunity to play at the ceremony.
