Lol, extra depth in midfield. I keep on worrying over Alonso being a lone DM with Modric to be placed in CM though with Essien in the team, Madrid can relax a tad.

He's a great guy with lots of experience. Not the worst deal ever at all.

Plus this paves way for Castilla CM's to make a mark

Did not expect him to leave Chelsea at all. Considered him too important, but that is not the case obviosly.

i know but was wondering if dat midfield could work out

if lass had stayed he would start couple of games, even important ones so i think essien eventually will get some starts regarding the approach of the game and the opponent but also khedira's form

Essien lost everything that made him good 2 years ago, people are still rating him because of his name.

He relied almost exclusively on his physical tools as he had no real brain or technique, now he's lost that he's worse than Lass quite frankly.

Oh well all the people that still rate him because of his name will see this eventually.
