Friedel is a large reason Spurs haven't lost a game (ninja edit: except for newcastle lulz) yet- especially against Norwich, for example.

Anyway, point is, Spurs would certainly have lost some of the games they tied this year had it not been for Friedel.

But the point is Friedel was putting in some masterclass performances and quite frankly i don't care who you are but if there's competition you have to force that competition out of the way.

You don't just walk into a team when a player is already winning points for said team.

Lloris is just like everyone else.

To use an example, Koscielny was Arsenal's best defender last year but he does'nt get a look in atm....

Why? Because Mertesacker is performing so well he's rightfully keeping his spot.

I'm sure it would be the same when Sagna and Wilshere come back, when players are performing and winning points for said team you don't just drop them.

You have to force your way in, no one gets a free pass.

Lloris shouldn't of joined if he wasn't guaranteed a starting spot imo.

It's all well and good that Friedel is supposedly better (I wholeheartedly diagree with that sentiment btw) but if that's the case, don't make promises you can't keep and don't buy Lloris in the first place.

If I was Lloris and I wasn't starting consistently by January transfer, I was handing in that transfer request immediately.

He still has 2013-2014 even if this season is wasted, but he can't let himself be in a position where he's even marginally likely to sit on the bench for that year.

Lloris will get bullied by every and any tall centre forwards a la De Gea, wait and see

What has Lloris done? Won several Ligue 1 titles and other trophies, taken Lyon to elimination rounds of CL and been MOTM in almost all the games, taken France through real qualification rounds to tournaments (best player on team in the Euro), top 5 save % in Europe for 3 years now, etc.

What has Friedel done lol. He's not even the regular keeper for shat US NT. And regarding the Spurs.... when's the last time they won anything?
