North London XI?

Robbie Savage (I know, I know) was recently quoted as saying only 4 Arsenal players would get into Spurs first team and that this was their weakest side in years.

Do you agree or disagree with him?


Those six would stroll into their team IMO.

Yeah Ledley King he's a beast. King could not play for 3 years, eat McDonalds every day and still turn up and literally put in a MOTM performance.

Balanced team or best players? Vermaelen is injured about 80% of the time so I won't even bother with him.


Gervinho and Parker could both be there too...

Did I not explain myself? Vermaelen is the best defender of the lot, but I'm just sick of him being injured all the time, so I didn't add him. Otherwise I'd have him and King, though King is also injury prone lol.

I agree with the OP. but I'm not sure if I'd have Bale over Walcott.
Santos is still untested in the EPL, so Assou-Ekotto deserves the spot for now

King is so overrated its not even funny. Dawson when beside King has proven that he is a superior CB as the former is criminally underrated

Bale vs Walcott is debatable.

Well i left out VDV but i prefer a destroyer in this lineup and i'm honestly very impressed with Sandro so i included him in my lineup..Also Modric-Wilshere in the middle is too thin for my liking as i've said earlier that i prefer a destroyer so i would choose Sandro over Song(Just My Preference)..

I wouldn't even include Gervinho at this point, since he's only played three or four league games for us and hasn't had the time or opportunity to really show us what he can do.

My XI would be:


All proven to have peformed to good levels in the Premier League. Note that I've foregone making a balanced side and just tried to make the best XI possible given the players.

King fit is as good as Verm fit IMO.

I know this is going to come off as me making another "Hate Arsenal" post, but I just don't see how you can include Wilshire in this team.

He is not going to be a factor for Arsenal this year, most likely he won't be in full form until the start of next season.

You just can't put him in this team.

Then why are you replying? Please tell me what Szczesny has done to be better then Brad? Was it his 1-2 game streak were he looked good? I don't get it, he hasn't had a great year this year or a great career so where does this come from? Please just give me one accomplishment?

So I got killed and called an idiot in the London best 11 thread for even suggesting that Bard is better then Szczesny. I mean one game doesn't prove much but what has this guy ever done to be better then Brad? You can call him a good young keeper but I just don't get why you guys have to say he's better then all these keeper's who have been good/great for years.

He's decent and has a chance to be really good in the future but you guys need to calm down with him, and no this isn't trolling you guys deserve this as normal people would think you were trolling by calling it no contest that Szczensy is better then Brad.

Friedel really didn't have to make as many clear-cut saves, even though Arsenal had more of the ball. Most of his work consisted of collecting shots fired right at him.

No contest. Szczesny is better than Brad

He's pretty over-rated. No where near WC.
