Another game, another nasty tackle to take out one of our midfielders. Hopefully Lussey's injury isn't bad.

Saw the all important Arsenal game where we drew 1-1 with Bijev [ forgive me if im wrong with the spelling ] scored a late equaliser on his U21 debut.

We needed a point to secure a playoff spot against United and we showed great character to come back from behind to do that. There were two great substitutions though. That said some points from the match -

1. Ibe is the next Sterling, Looks better than Raheem at the U21 level to me. Beats his opponent with a combination of pace, trickery and physicality. Third is something with Sterling lacks. Peterson on the other wing is more like Silva, He could have a future at LFC.

2. Adorjan and Texeira are great talents, I knows its the U21 level but Arsenal are a good team, Texeira looks like another Suso. Adorjan wins the ball back in great areas. Both have excellent hold up play and creativity. They have good chemistry between them. Texeira looks the better of the two.

3. Roddan played CDM, Coady usually plays there. Didnt see anything in Roddan.

4. Full backs were Flano and Ryan. Ryan Mclaughlin is the next Martin Kelly from the academy, But i do see Robinson, Kelly and Wisdom keeping him at bay for a while. Flano was never LFC quality according to me. Ryan is a good talent.

5. CB's were Llyod Jones and Sama. Sama usually dealt with the rough huge CF with comfortable ease. Jones was nervy all game. No idea how they'll do, Sama looks the better of the two.

6. Morgan. Dont see anything in him other than his poaching. Would be glad Yesil comes back and replaces this fellow.

Some points based on some games i have watched, Uni not allowing me to follow the U21's like before. Anyways.

It's scary that people from Valencia rate him as of the best in the last decade. They've had David Silva in their ranks and whilst Juan Mata came from Madrid, he was very young when he went there. Proud

Don't want to spoil the fun, but since Carragher & Gerrard only Kelly has made the grade from our Youth team. True Rahim, Wisdom & Suso have been used for a prolonged period but that's more due to necessity.

I would really love to see 2-3 players from youth team staking claims each year.

I couldn't tell from the clip... is the the guy that flubbed the 1 v 1, or was he the one that passed the beautiful through ball?
