Re: The Official 'Next Permanent Manager' Thread
Don't forget why Ancelotti was fired.
The first season was amazing but our opposition in the league were very, very poor. When we faced better opponents in the CL, we were outplayed. Notice how most videos about our CL triumph skips from Munich to Ovrebo?
I'm not taking away what he has done for the club. In fact, I would never forget the 8-0 at Wigan and the celebrations that followed. But the next season we played with no real direction. Reminded me of Scolari and how the team never really had any idea how to win games. He finished 2nd, but following another poor run in the CL and boring draws in the league, harsh as it may be, it was best to move on. I still don't believe it was Carlo's decision to get Torres though

Re: The Official 'Next Permanent Manager' Thread
Manuel Pellegrini linked with Chelsea job now.
link.
"Chelsea and other clubs have asked, but nothing else official has been said. Manuel would love to manage in the Premier League, but he'd also like to go to Germany, Italy and other championships. There is plenty of time to analyse where he will be next season."
"Manuel has a contract with Malaga. I believe that in April or May we will know clearly what will happen with his future, to see if the sporting project is changing and we need to make a decision. Our first intention is to respect our commitment, but that also depends on the conditions which exist."
link.

Tbh, I think he is even underrated a bit as a manager.

Blues legend Poyet welcomes link to Chelsea job:

I want to go to the highest level and if it's the Premier League and it's Chelsea, fantastic.
That's my aim. Everybody knows. I don't hide it.
I like the speculation because it means we are doing something right. But it doesn't change my life at the moment.

Re: The Official 'Next Permanent Manager' Thread
Good piece of article on Pellegrini.
Link
Is there really a better fit for Chelsea?
I mean from every standpoint he makes so much sense.
A manager who doesn't have Mou/Rafa type ego, that can succesfully work with Roman and the board.
Likable and a gentleman, Chelsea fans will quickly back him up and tbf it doesn't take much to back up the next manager because he is not Rafa.
Attacking football style, very good fit for our squad(Hazard, Mata, Oscar) and style of football that will please Roman and the fans.
Will give youths a chance, he has shown that throughout his career.

Re: The Official 'Next Permanent Manager' Thread
I'm afraid of a manager who doesn't have an ego... This could well lead to more Torres' and Shevs...
Re: The Official 'Next Permanent Manager' Thread
Wasn't Torres at least scoring when RDM was still the manager? I thought Rafa was supposed to fix your Torres problems? Oh well, thanks for third.

Don't care about Mou, we should focus on Pelegrini, we won't do better.
