Re: Where will Guardiola go next?
Oh and Bayern was left out because very few on this forum care about the Bundesliga enough to know that Osram was already retired when he was asked to replace Klinsmann. Hoeneß was a good friend of him and that's why he helped Bayer. He found joy in coaching again at Bayern and soggested none other than Louis van Gaal as a long term replacement.
Ultimately this suggestion would play a part in his decision to coach Bayern again despite claiming a desire to retire again. Who knows, maybe it was just ruse and master trolling like the Guardiola contract but one thing was certain.
Heynckes would not be a long term solution; he would perform once last meisterklässle of a stint but Bayern needed a long term solution.
That long term solution would be Guardiola. The Audi Cup was more then just a international friendly. It was a chance to for him to witness the facilities that had produced some of the players he had been wanting to sign. Philipp Lahm and David Alaba.
Nerlinger, fearful for his job, made the first tentative approach. "Come back in 6 months" they said. But Nerlinger had been doomed by then. Sammer was to be signed to not only find players for the first team. He would improve the Bayern's youth project and identity and that's exactly why Guardiola was approached 6 months later and signed a whopping.3 year contract, a man known for his rolling one year contracts it seemed a logical course of events for Bayern fans.
BAYERN_MUNICH you were not alone my brother.
But this isn't just a coup for Bayern, it's a coup for the Bundesliga.

OK guys, say what you will, but last month England still seemed a LOT likelier than Bayern. That is why the majority of us felt like England would be his next destination. Don't take it personal ffs.Phritz wrote:Oh and Bayern was left out because very few on this forum care about the Bundesliga enough to know that Osram was already retired when he was asked to replace Klinsmann.
