I'd ignore those things though, someone on Neogaf said it took him like 72 hours.

Clearly depends on the person.

I did every single possible quest in TW3 too completely blind and 90% of ? besides the ones littered around Skellige

took me like 3 weeks to finish IIRC but yeah, this game is looking just as meaty, 70+ hours minimum then..ffs, hope they're all enjoyable

I am expecting a lot of reviews in progress lol.

Since when did it become an issue that the main story of a game was "too long"? hmm

100% not platting this RG, no chance in hell, likely takes multiple playthroughs and guides.

1 and done.

@Thimmy when you've already put like 100+ hours into huge games in the last month ffs, hope I don't get burntout playing this and shelve it

That's why i mainly took a break from games before Horizon and why i'm not buying another big game before i play Persona.

It really will depend on the person.

Persona games are already dialogue heavy and have lengthy cutscenes throughout it's main story. Then there's all the Social Links on top of it, plus however long it takes to get through dungeons and beat bosses.

It's turn based combat, so battles can take a long time. Some bosses on Persona 4 could take upwards of an hour, even with good preparation. Chuck in grinding and yeah, you can easily get to 70+ hours.

Second playthroughs are much quicker because you can just skip scenes. Took me about 120 hours to plat Persona 4 Golden.

Does this Persona also have that same dungeon crawler style as the old ones?

I'll watch some trailers to see if I can hype myself.

Just watched this video, a lot of great info.

It says they got rid of the shitty dungeons. Thank god, now I may get this game. The dungeon crawling in those shitty randomly generated 200+ floors in Persona 3 were the video game equivalent of aids.

Yeah i was watching a stream the other day, the combat looks fun tbh.

I'm only thing i i hope is that the fights don't get repetitive, i mean the stream didn't give me a reason to think that but that would always be a worry.

As long as their is lots of unique enemies to keep it fresh i don't think there's anyway i won't like it.

This looks fun. The problem with the old games was that the only fighting was done in terrible dungeons that were incredibly repetitive. It seems like they improved a lot on that.

I'm the same lol, i watched a stream on Playstation Access the other week just to see about the games mechanics but in terms of being spoiled i have seen practically *bleep* all.

Looking forward to it.

It's a 94 on Metacritic atm after 30 reviews.

Eurogamer's opening paragraph lol...

Real talk: if you've played Persona, if you've enjoyed JRPGs, if you even have a passing interest in Japanese media, there's absolutely no reason to read this frankly ponderous review. Persona 5 is everything you've wanted: style and substance distilled into an experience worth waging cultural wars for.

Greatly enjoying it so far.

Love the anime cutscenes, combat seems fun from what little i have played and i think i'll like it although a lot of is setting up the story and characters seemingly.

Haven't done a lot of management in terms of day to day with the school and other stuff yet but i think i'll enjoy it.

Although the no 1 best thing about it? i put the disc in and it played straight away with no installation or patches.
