yes! somehwere to argue without mods locking threads and the ability for idle and private chit chat is quite apealing

We're currently still considering creating a permanent chat feature for the forum, as some of you guys got to use it last weekend. That was a test run. We'll try and make a decision soon. For now, Goalchat.tk is a good option and Mole and Barrilete have proven good mods.

Has anyone ever asked whether goal legacy could create some kind of chat system similar to facebook chat, MSN messenger? I'm not a computer wiz so I don't know the costs or how hard it is to implement? Any thoughts?

The chat facility makes sense for matchdays only For proper discussions you need to post in the forum. Also, if you install a chatbox in general section, the thing will go out of hand. More than 15-20 people at the same time destroy any sort of meaningful conversation, with or without the mods.

There was a chatbox up for a few hours a few days ago... But not many posters experienced it. Personally I thought it was good, especially the ban feature. You can ban anybody who becomes a constant nuisance.
