Sell one of the most marketable athletes in football back to Italy right when he is about to enter his prime years.

More like he was surplus to the team and was causing disharmony to the dressing room.
PL have better 'marketable' players than him anyways.Him leaving wouldnt change much.

Im not a huge Balotelli fan, I was just taking a swipe at EPL
Out of curiosity, who do you think is more marketable in the PL than Balo?

Well the Manchester United attacking duo for starters.Rooney and Van Persie.
The likes of Aguero,Wilshere,Hazard etc have huge marketing potential in them as well.

Re: Farewell Balotelli- On Behalf of all Premfaces
Yeah Ill give you Rooney for sure, and Van Persie as well. The others, not sure. Ill give it to Kun, but past those 3 there arent many superstars or drama queens like Balo.
His return to Italy will hugely benefit our league indirectly with the media attention he will receive, as well as the talent he brings with him. We needed someone like him to arrive honestly.

Quite the character, he'll leave a void in that sense. Critics will look back on this part of his career as a failure though. No doubt he'll GOAT in Serie A on his return.

Re: Farewell Balotelli- On Behalf of all Premfaces
Just seen this,Balotellis stats for Man City:
Added to the fact he only has 1 assist in 2.5 years,I think it's fair to say he is a massively overrated player.
A lot of his goals are penalty's too don't forget,he is a glorified penalty taker who causes more trouble than he's worth.
Unless his attitude changes at Milan because he supposedly supports them I can see Milan regretting this.

Re: Farewell Balotelli- On Behalf of all Premfaces
not happy with this transfer. 22 million but ok paying in 6 installments every year its ok... but i am hearing he will be earning 5 million plus bonuses. its more like balotelli and riola got their acts together with this escape route more than milan.
not to mention he is out of form, inconsistent, hot head, im pretty sure he will face hostility every game away, that somethings gonna go horribly wrong.
i can only hope and pray that he doesnt do anything stupid to risk our game.
i m with people who think mancity did themselves a favor by getting rid of him..
talent alone cant make football players a great one, personality, character good attitude is really important, balotelli has none of it.

15m for pato
22m for balotelli
______________
7m technically for for the Italian, hopefully he will shine in Milan for the sake of Italy having a healthy striker for the 2014 world cup

Barton's gone...
Djibril Cisse's gone...
Balotelli's gone...
Who's left to do something stupid on/off the pitch...?
Emmanuel Frimpong joins Fulham on loan from Arsenal for rest of season
Oh, that's right...

Yeah... but none of the players mentioned have that same, "I don't give a flying f***" air to them. They may mess-up/act-a-fool, but it won't be nearly as entertaining.Lex wrote:Terry, Tevez, Suarez, Cole, Rooney etc etc....
Still quite a few nobs left
For example: Ashley Cole with an air rifle is mean spirited and horrible, but Balotelli with fireworks is a reality series waiting to happen.
And look, I didn't even take the bait with the Suarez comment. I'm sure my therapist would be proud.
