RG, you made your best MT impression there He is overrated which doesn't make him an average/ bad player. It's just he isn't as good as people make him out to be.

Would take Kroos for a possession based team, but Wilshere for a counter attacking team. Also Kroos > Wilshere (AM), Wilshere > Kroos in the centre midfield.

Kroos isn't an AM and Wilshere is able to play in a possession based team as well

Never said Wilshere can't play in a possession based team or the opposite, I would just prefer Kroos as he's more careful with keeping possession. I don't think they're comparable tbh just wanted to tell which one would I pick for my team.

It's rather unfair to compare these 2 atm Kroos is on a different level then Wilshere and has achieved more for club & for country.

I'd pick Kroos for any team because Kroos is one of the most complete midfielders out there and also much more experienced than Wilshere.

I have never seen Toni play or know who he is. From what I have been reading here sounds like he is a great player.

Unfortunately I will be seeing him play very soon.

For Chelsea, as much as I would hate to say it, it would have to be Jack. Would really strengthen our pivot.

You take Kroos unless you're in very specific circumstances imho, can't see me not taking him.
Very complete midfielder, the only time I see me not picking him if I can get a defense specialist and a playmaking attacker at the same time instead of him, but for the all-round package, there are few like him these days.

Tremendous talent. Needs to work on his off the ball movement, tackling, and interceptions a bit, though. Also could be like 4 inches taller :p

I'd take Wilshere because because I value what he does pushing the ball through midfield rather than passing it through. It's better to watch and it offers more opportunity for a flexible style.

I think it's Kroos you take in specific circumstances. In the event you have outstanding wide players who will effectively use the ball and who need a consistent supply to be effective.

If you have alternative sources of initiation.

I'd rather take Kroos in my team, cause he is performing constantly at the highest level for 4 years now, and is better than wilshere at most of the aspects of his game, at least he proved it more than Jack, and is a key piece at bayern, he played in every game this season in the team that challenges for both UCL and Bundesliga every year. I believe that passing, long shots, holding the ball, set-pieces, final third decision making it's better than wilshere's, however they don't play in the same position... I followed bayern this season, and he played 90% of the games as an attacking-mid, while Wilshere was a playmaker, at least that's where i saw him playing...
And to say that wilshere has a bright future may be true, i respect his achievments, it's not easy to be one of the best at Arsenal at his age, but Kroos is only two years older...

BTT - I think I'd take Toni Kroos. First I've seen more of him in the BL/CL etc and thus I'm a bit more confident to properly rate him and second, I'm always wary about the hype English EPL players get. ^^

I like Kroos and hes probably closest thing to be considered as next Lampard.

As for Jack Wilshere, he is a LION.

I'd pick Jack just for his mental strength alone.

You dont need to be the most talented footballer to become a great footballer.

Im surprised a bit, i thought it may take until next season for wilshere to be back in these discussions but hes playing very well this season tbf.

In terms of kroos id prefer wilshere because a) im biased, but more importantly b) i think wilshere is an exceptional dribbler with a lot of strength to carry the ball, which is rare for diminutive ball playing CMs. Kroos is a very good passer, but then so is wilshere, but wilshere trumps him with dribbling. Honestly wilshere is ridiculously good at changing the pattern of a game with his bursts, an utra classy technical close control type CM with a hazard/messi ect type of initial burst of acceleration over 10 yards or so is really rare.

Wilshere is mainly winning because more people here watch the EPL and not the BL
