HELP liverpool

Sorry if posting to wrong part of the forum, or breaking some rule, I'm new in here.
Long story, but it ended with my father said that the best game he saw was between not forest and liverpool and that the score was 4-4. He said that it was really bad conditions, heavy rain and stuff. He also said it was around 1980.. He thinks it was european cup, but I've searched all liverpool and not forest games, and I couldn't find any... We've searched european champion cup, english league, everything and there is no game between these two that ended 4-4.. I would appreciate if somebody just try to think of some game. Maybe my father made a mistake and it wasn't not and liverpool... please, cheers

I can't remember that match as I wasn't born then, but Chelsea 4-4 Liverpool and Liverpool 4-4 Arsenal were absolutely magnificent in 2009. They happened back to back as well, which made them even more GOAT worthy

Nottingham Forest played Liverpool in 1978 where they won 2-0 on aggregate.

That's the only time they ever met in Europe

Never been a 4-4 between forest and liverpool according to 11v11.com... closest is 07 Sep 1982 Liverpool v Nottingham Forest W 4-3 League Division One

can't find any video about those games, so i can check was it hard rain thanks for effort guys... can someone who remembers that time think of some great game?
