Where exactly did you get this?

As far as I know (or at least what I've read), Messi has a fever and didnt train on Wednesday. Many players miss a training session or 2 due to a fever / or man flu or whatever.
Its not a big deal.

Of course Im sure he could have turned up to training and no harm could have been done, but still, if anyone deserves a day off, its Messi.

Most of these training sessions after big matches are simply recovering sessions, anyway. For example Xavi spent his morning doing physiotherapy.

Yes, through your TV screen he looked perfectly fine.

Ofc, the bad run of results hut his pride, but I think you're reading too much into this incident.

I didnt hear anyone talk about Song when he missed training a few weeks ago due to "man flu"

Song actually was sick ;-) - I've seen Messi and he was not sick.
