Neymar used to wear 11 before he started wearing 10 at brazil. At santos he had 11. With thiago most likely to leave he will take his 11 no shirt..

Are the TS rumors real? Damn that would be awesome. So long as we don't sell Thiago we stand a very real chance for the CL if that is the case.

Not if you don't sort yourselfs out tactically you don't.... not even TS would have saved that mess that you called pressing and tactics last season.

About Neymar's number

Barca have renewed and upped the released clauses of Tello and Rafinha. Rafinha loaned out to Celta. I imagine Thiago is next in line for the club to try and up his release clause and the club obviously wants him to stay.

So I imagine Neymar gets Villa's 7. With the club committing to Tello, it means Villa is surely out. So our left flank this season will be Neymar/Tello back up for sure with no room for Villa.

I think the pressing is largely psychological and an age problem. I'm not saying we will return to the 2010/11 level, but if we get to semis with all our problems and we solve 2 of them (messi being the only scorer, bad CBs) that goes a long way. We would still need to fix the LB and do some tuning but I think we would stand a very real chance with the best CB in the world.

Messi needs to run when we don't have the ball and not only when we have it, part of the reason our defense sucked last season was that without the ball we were basically playing with 10 men as messi would just be standing. Messi basically plays too much, whehter he asks to or whether Tito wants it,that needs to change,he shouldn't play in every singe game (because that creates problems, the first is that he becomes fatigued and the second is that the team becomes too dependant on Messi and when we are forced to play without hom the players become clueless). When we are winning by a 3 0r 4 goal difference there is no point keeping Messi on the field just so he an score meaningless goals,he needs to be taken off so that when it matters he can actually run(and play like he did vs milan).

According to catalunya radio Barca officials have travelled to brazil to negotiate a deal with thiago silva. This would be so awesome..

Oier is going as well it seems... Won't be staying another season with the B squad it seems and isn't going to be 3rd/4th choice with the official side so...
Afellay will go. Too many options within the squad, injury prone as well. Alot of interest from English side.
Liverpool, Newcastle, Atletico and Malaga are all interested in Bojan who will move this summer...

Just got news that David Villa will be signing for Spurs next week after saying yes to a possible move to White Hart Lane.
Fee will be around 8-12 million.

Been a long time since I posted.Wont comment on all the rumors.
Really hope Thiago stays.I think the board needs to do everything in their power to make him stay.If that means giving him a better contract, then do it.If that means selling the Lost Lamb,then kick Fabregas out of the club.Anything to keep Thiago.If Thiago does end up leaving,then Tito needs to be shown the door as well.Losing 7-0 is reason enough to get sacked.You don't lose 7-0 with this team. However given his condition and the fact that he won us the league and that it would be bad PR to sack him,the 7-0 can be excused and he can be offered one more season.Losing Thiago however is unacceptable.You don't lose lose the best talent of this generation and get to stay.

On players,Neymar is in.Not entirely pleased as I don't think he is the player for us especially at 57 mil.Too steep a price.Still lets wait and see.A CB still needs to be bought and possibly a more defensive LB.
One signing I would think about is Valencia.Heard he is on the market and if cheap I think he could be a useful option for us.He is a very one dimensional player but what he does,he is very effective and we don't have a player like him in the squad.

Lastly,the Alves needs to be sold talk just makes me sick.He is a legend for us and has given his all for us.Deserves much more respect than he gets.

Manu offers a stunning contract by offering him triple wages he is getting at Barcelona. Money doesn't matter to him much, he just wants regular football but when you offer a player thrice his original salary, it is lucrative for the player. Not to mention they will be offering him first team football..

I agree with every word except the part concerning Nerman, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Losing Thiago would be a disaster, I hope he is watching Xavi's confederations cup and realizes his time in the sun is now.

Alex do you think Deulofeu should be loaned? Right now our attacking options are stacked and I don't believe he will get many minutes.

Valencia had an underwhelming year. Doesn't mean much...it happens, but I don't agree he is a good option for us to buy, I agree only if he comes cheap. What he is is a player who can beat his man out wide and put a cross in- a lot like Navas (and he is just as one footed). However we already have a player like this at Barcelona in Tello. The only real difference I see is the way they go about it- Tello going on the outside of the RB and crossing it in with the left or cutting back and passing back or crossing with the right foot, whereas Valencia is on the RW and goes on the outside of the LB and hits it in with the right foot or passes it back with...the right.

To me, I don't see anything Valencia offers that Tello doesn't other than being more effective on the RW. In fact Tello offers more with being a decent finisher and being able to shoot.

I think Valencia being effective on the RW is somewhat valuable though, but that we should only at the right price. Which is unlikely.

If Thiago leaves, it's will be your beloved Rosell mistake, not Tito's. Tito didn't even know Thiago had a clause in his contract that made his release clause go from 90 milion to 18 if he didn't play X number of games. He wasn't informed by the board.

Neymar will be a good signing.

Valencia wouldn't make any sense for us, unless he came to play as RB and replace Alves, which wouldn't make sense either as we already have an offensive FB for the future in Jordi Alba.

I don't know if he loves him, but he surely doesn't despise him enough. I was being polemic.
In past threads he showed appreciation for Rosell's financial policy and other stuff.
Quite puzzling considering Rosell's government plan is to destroy Laporta and Cruyff and Alex is a big Cruyff admirer.

The problem with having an offensive FB for the future is that unlike Alves who is good defensively, Alba is terrible defensively.

Not surprised to see a lot of teams decide to start launching long diagonals over to Alba/past Alba. He struggled to deal with it every time. Italy CONSTANTLY attacked on Alba's side and found a lot of success. The first goal came from a cross on Alba's side, and Alba played Neymar onside for the second goal.

I can see it becoming a large problem in the future and we don't know how much Neymar will help defensively...

I have a serious problem with the fact that it is july and yet again we are only being linked to only one player for this position. What is wrong with starting to work on a couple back ups if TS's signing doesn't work out?

Agreed BC, but Barca have made it clear a CB is a priority this summer so I have faith that we'll get it done eventually.

I'd rather we get it done sooner rather than later though. And us being linked only with TS is worrying atm
