Good chance of seeing Licht and Vidal pickup yellows in the 1st leg.If thats the case i would hope to see Caceres play at RWB instead of Padoin with Pogba filling in for Vidal ofc.I think we have able backups imo(obviously not as good but they arent scrubs either) in case these aforementioned players get suspended.

Barca get some ridiculous ref that waves everything through and is like super fair.
Real and Bayern get some ref from a weird country where they have think mustaches and eat goat brain, and in the end all of their players are suspended for the semis, just like last year. Better just invest in a bigger bench instead of crying about it.

When do get yellows purged anyway? Didn't they used to get purged between quarters and semis last season? Or when was that?

I think they get purged after this round but not if they resulted in a red card, or something like that.

Is there any need for all of these yellow card rules in the CL? If you don't get 2 consecutive yellows then they need to back the *bleep* off and let the beautiful game take place.

Also, cup-tied player rules are a fkn joke as well.

Yeah TBH the matches have been pretty fair so far, and I remember how much I hated that basically everyone was suspended last final.
Though ironically the team with the more crucial suspensions ended up winning. But it still sucked.

It's just needless, if you're up against tricky players which is bound to happen in the elite club competition, you're going to pick up yellows. And the free-kick/Penalty/threat of a suspension if you do it again next game is punishment enough. But they carry it through a game as well? It looks like they're advertising non-contact football ffs.

That's exactly what they're doing and tbh I don't like it.

And that's not even the worst thing. The worst thing is that all teams play their matches with different refs. Any team get unlucky and get a card-happy semi-retard. While this is fair for the tie (both teams get carded heavily), the winner of that tie is at a massive disadvantage in the next round.

Yeah I agree completely. you get some young reff from some farm so deep in Europe that it's yet to be charted coming over infront of 40.000 screaming fans, bottling it and flashing a yellow when a fkn captain asks him what the other yellow was for.

I literally see no benefit in making yellow cards carry over. Red? Yeah, they've most likely done something dangerous or out of the law. Yellow? No, especially when yellow cards are so easy to earn.
