Man city may upset Barca. Their striking force is just too powerful meanwhile the D is getting worse.

I hope Xavi will be fresh for this game tho, imo his presence on the field would be missed so much .

Schalke will be all healthy again and hopefully with a real coach. Real Madrid has only won one game in Germany in history. The rest was losses and a couple of draws. I will bandwagon Schalke to give them an extra edge with some of that power Bayern holds over Real Madrid. Huntelaar, Meyer, Draxler, Papadopoulus, & Co to style all over Real Madrid.

The pot 1 teams have to be considered favourites at this point in time.

Arsenal, City or Milan can be in the last 8 as well.

Also the Champions League usually throws us a surprise or two before it's all said and done so we'll have to wait and see.

If Madrid go through I hope we get Chelsea in the next round, that would be a deliciously nasty tie imo

Regardless of our ridiculously bad record in Germany, the real question is can Schalke avoid defeat at the Bernabeu? Not even Dortmund or Bayern can say that they have, so Schalke winning at home might not be enough.

If Draxler plays well we will sign him next summer. Raul has foretold this :bow:

I like Schalke, great club tbh.
On the other hand, Schalke are always good for a surprise. Last season (without all the injuries) they won against Dortmund home and away, and this season they were one of only 3 teams that won against Bayer Leverkusen in the BL. With Schalke you never know what you get - you might see a debacle like against Bayern this season or a surprise win like against Inter in a recent CL run...

i gotta say the only possible upsets i see possible are schalke and city going through. everything else looks almost assured.

Only City are possible of causing an upset in my view.

The 8 teams i quoted in my post are the best 8 teams than can go through in the competition imo.There's going to be some awesome ties in the last 8.
