it never works out this way .. theres bound to be a clash of the titans in the round of 16 or the quarters while two
'lesser' teams would get to fight to reach the semis.. arsenal,lyon,shalke etc

Schalke went through Inter iirc.

yeahh but they still reached the last 8 without meeting a big team though. ahd shalke did the same thing in 08.. reached the quarters with a worse team

Man U, Chelsea and Man City may not qualify. Inter, Milan, Barca, Arsenal, Apoel and Madrid have qualified. Of the non qualified Napoli seem the stronger. So final 4 is Barca, Milan, Inter and Arsenal.

Arsenal maybe I can agree (although if indeed 2 of those 3 EPL teams are out, then the Gunners are screwed in the EPL if they focus on the UCL)...Inter no way barring some minor miracle....they will be fighting extremely hard in the SerieA the 3rd placing. You also forgot Bayern...and who do you reckon will knock Real out?

I know it's early to predict, but that's the point of the thread. Try to pick combinations that are actually possible.

E.g. Not: Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Napoli

Man C and Nap are in the same group fighting for 2nd, and Bayern has already qualified for the next round in 1st. Therefore, only 1 of Man C and Nap could make it to the semis.
